it was strange when hayes told me he was in love with me. I wasn't expecting it. I was expecting to be left in my house with a broken heart and a bowl of ice cream while binge watching shows on netflix.
I was speechless when he told me, and he smiled at me softly and intertwined our fingers with joy.
he spoke these words after: "will you be mine, makayla?"
and I nodded, a light pink color forming as blood rushed to my cheeks while I smiled.
"of course I will, benjamin." I shortly giggled at his first name.
"oh shut up." he rolled his eyes but a smile tugged at the ends of his lips.
he then walked me home, kissed me on the cheek, and said he'd text me later.
benjamin franklin: hey bbygirl
