You slowly woke up- still feeling tired and heavy, but restless. You slowly slid out of bed- casting a quick look down to yourself. A crop top and Captain America pj bottoms... yea you were fine. You headed out towards the kitchen, feet barely making a sound against the floor as you walked along. You thought you heard the sound of a fist landing on skin- but casted it off as your imagination as you entered the kitchen. You needed you cup of tea.

"Hey- I'm heading out for another food run. Dean was saying something about you having forgot onions." He said and you rolled your eyes, grunting in acknowledgment as you set a pot of water to boil. Sam set your favorite tea box down beside you and kissed the top of your head, patting your back as he left. You softly smiled, he was probably one of the best brothers you've ever had. Not as in blood- for your own brother did that- but still. He made you feel safe and welcomed. What more could you ask for?

You hissed at the sudden pain in your hand, realising you had dozed off while standing- leaving your water to boil over. You quickly turned the stove off and poured a glass of tea, dropping a tea packet in halfway and watching the clear liquid turn a woodsy brown. You tossed the extra water into another cup, stashing it away for later as you blew on your tea, heading to the library.

Upon entering you noticed several things. Books were scattered across the table tops, and after a quick read you realized they were talking about Angels. Your eyebrows furrowed and you looked around, and then realized that Dean was nowhere to be found. You let out a soft sigh, sitting down in a seat and picking up one of the opened books. You took another sip from your cup- flinching at the slight pain on your tongue from the heat before setting it down on the table.

You sucked on your teeth, putting your thumb on your page before closing the book to read the title. The Heaven's Host was written on the front in Enochian, and you let out a soft sigh, now realizing the runes. Was it too early to read runes in the morning when you haven't even finished your first cup of tea? Yes, but did you really care? No, you were too damn bored to care. You opened the book back up and slowly read through it- old lessons from Castiel beginning to return. It had been forever since you've done anything with Enochian, this was more like a wake up call than anything. Get back on your ass and do something kind of wake up call.

You rubbed your eyes- setting down the book as you drank the last of your tea- looking around for a clock. You raised an eyebrow. An hour had passed? Just like that? Man, time did sure go by when you were committed to something. You stood and dropped your dish off in the kitchen, rinsing it out before heading out to find Dean. That man never just disappeared for a few hours, he was always doing something.

"Dean?" You called out, stopping by his room first. Empty. Curious, you popped by Sam's room, only to find it empty too. You huffed and began walking the halls aimlessly- listening for sounds that would give you an indication as to where Dean could be. You heard the same sound from earlier- fist striking skin, and your eyes widened.

"Dammit!" You whispered, picking up your pace to find Dean. You had completely forgotten that Dean and Sam had captured Gadreel, and Dean was probably beating up the angel without remorse. You passed by an empty hallway but heard a grunt of pain- and paused. You waited again, slowly making your way down the hallway. There! You threw the door open on your right and Dean jumped at the sudden intrusion, spinning to face you.

"God- could you maybe announce yourself next time?" He asked, and you slowly took in the sight of him. Your eyes landed on his knuckles and your face contorted into a frown, anger lighting up your eyes.

"Look at you Dean! You've split the skin on your knuckles! And for what!" You asked, entering the room to grab him and drag him out. There was a rustle of something soft and your eyes darted to the side- your whole body tensing and freezing. Coal black wings shifted to adjust themselves to the small size of their room. Dean spoke your name- grabbing your shoulder gently, and letting Gadreel get a good look at you. You took a step back, the light coal color on the outside of the wings growing darker as your eyes traveled to Gadreel's face.

The color fell from your face as your eyes connected with his own green eyes, and you felt like you were going to be sick. The feathers closests to his shoulders were being an obsidian color, and past that point they just looked like black holes. That dark, empty color spreaded to the top of his wings, trailing across the top frame and to the tips of the feathers that branched off the muscle. The black slowly faded to grey as your eyes traveled out from his shoulders again and you realized that right next to the darkest feathers on his wings, there was also the lightest feather. A pale grey.

Dean stepped in front of you and your eyes focused on him, and you took another step back, hands coming up to brush him off your shoulders. Your throat was closing and your heart began racing in fear. Your pupils dilated and you swallowed thickly, shaking your head slightly at Dean as you took another step back.

"Just- stop it, please." You whispered, taking another step back before turning and quickly leaving. Dean knew you didn't care much for his methods- and he knew you would be even more upset if you found out that Dean was just beating on Gadreel for the hell for it.

You made it to your room and closed the door- leaning against it as you shook. His wings- how could Dean have ignored them? How could Dean not go to them for pain? Your eyes widened slightly as you realized why. He didn't see them. He didn't see the black beasts in all their glory- cramped and molding to the shape of the room. You closed your eyes slightly, trying to stop the shaking in your legs and the pounding in your chest.

Why could you see his wings, and not Dean? You assumed Sam couldn't see his wings, seeing as Sam never mentioned anything about it- and then your thoughts traveled to Castiel. No one could see his wings- a thought you had come to welcome in your scrambled state. You were glad you couldn't see his wings, for if they were as intimidating or as grand as Gadreel's... A shudder ran down your body as you slowly slid down your door.

They had been so dark, and while they should've looked cold you couldn't help but imagine that they felt light, and warm. You took in a shaky breath. You were a hunter- you could handle it. You've seen worse, or things more fearful. You chewed on your bottom lip- trying to release the tightness in your muscles. It was barely noon and already you were exhausted.

A knock on your door vibrated through your skull and back, and sucked you back to your hellish reality. You pushed off the door and scrambled to your feet- opening it up to find Dean standing there, knuckles wrapped and cleaned.

"Hey- what happened back there?" He asked, and you swallowed thickly. If you told him the truth he would probably drag to Gadreel and see why on earth you were seeing things, or maybe Castiel. Which sounded worse in your head, so it probably sounded a lot worse out loud. You let out a shaky laugh, shaking your head slightly.

"I just- I got caught up with the past when I saw him. Sorry about that." You said softly, and he relaxed. "But, you need to be more careful. More beatings like that and you'll take yourself out before you can get answers from him." You said, giving him a pointed glare with a raised eyebrow. Your signature 'don't fuck with me' look. One he knew very well. He let out a soft sigh, nodding slightly.

"Yea, I understand." He muttered, and the glare fell off your face to be replaced with a soft smile.

"Good- Sam went out on a run, he should be back soon, afterwards you can make us lunch, yea?" You asked, and he nodded. "Good- also, when did you learn to read Enochian?" You asked, and he began laughing while shaking his head.

"I don't I was going to ask if you could translate it for me but got caught up in something else..." He said, and you nodded slightly, humming softly.

"Sure- I guess I can translate it for you, might as well do something with this knowledge in my head." You said, and he nodded before heading off towards another part of the bunker- away from Gadreel. You softly closed your door and closed your eyes, shoulders sagging underneath the lies. Sure, lying wasn't uncommon between you guys- but you really didn't like holding secrets back from them. Look what happened to them when they held secrets back from each other- you were always wanting to avoid that.

'They can't know- not yet.' Your thoughts spoke, an image of the at least six foot wide wings flashing through your thoughts again. If you told Dean... you shook your head, letting out a deep breath. No point in focusing on what could happen with that situation. No good would come of it.

A/n: Enochian will be italicized and bolded!! Yes, this will come back later on and isn't just a one shot appearance sort of thing.
