"Woah, woah! Careful!" Sean says

"I can do it, okay?" I reply

"You're still weak" Sean says

"Oh, yeah?" I ask, punching his arm

"Spoke to soon" Sean says

***

I turned to face my very moderately sized house, weird looking house where most often only two people are living in. My mom, and I.

I let out a sigh.

"You alright?" Sean asks

I nod.

***

"You guys want any food to eat?" Mom asks, preparing some ingredients

"Nah" I reply

"I'm good, thank you" Sean says

"Mom, we'll be upstairs If you need us" I reply

"Op!" Sean says

"Sean, how many times do I need to say this, I'm completely fine and I can do it myself" I defended

"Still, I will watch over you, and protect you at all costs" Sean says

"Cheesy" I laughed

"What did I just hear?, hmmm?" Mom asks

"Just ordinary Sean being stupid" I reply taking the stair steps

"Anne!, that is not very nice. Say sorry" Mom says

"Sorry Sean" I say

***

I threw my slippers out, and just flopped on the bed.

"How I missed you" I say, rubbing my covers

"Anne, seriously? I haven't left yet, how did you miss me so quickly?" Sean says

"What?" I laughed

"I was referring to the bed" I reply

"Well, how can a non-living thing earn much more love than me" Sean says

"You work hard for it, and bed here works hard for it" I joked

"That's unfair" Sean whines

"What is?" I asked

"How a bed can earn much love than me" Sean says

"You idiot, of course I love you" I reply

"But I love bed more than you" I joked

***

"Sean!" My mom chants from downstairs

"Let's go" Sean says, inviting me to go down as well

***

I chose to stay upstairs, I was too lazy to go downstairs.

Click, I hear the door.

I had a feeling that it was probably Sean who went out the door.

"Mom, where's Sean?" I asked, going down the stairs, rapidly

"He went home" mom replies

"Did you send him home?" I asked

"His mom came to pick him up" Mom replies

"Too bad he didn't stay here for dinner, anyways anak, let's eat!" Mom says

I got onto my respective place on the dinner table, with the fluffy cushion.

***

"How are you with Sean, anak" My mom asks, filling her spoon with soup

"Ma, there's nothing going on between Sean and I" I replied

"That's not what I meant, anak" My mom laughs

"Oh" I reply, blushing

"I can really sense you like him" Mom says

"Mom, I don't" I lied

"Whatever you say, but I am a mother, and us mothers can sense whatever it is that's going on with our child or children" Mom says

"Maybe I do" I sighed

"See!" Mom says

"Just a little!" I replied

"Remember, you're only 12. No love love yet, okay?" My mom asks

"Yes, ma. Study first" I replied
