Chapter 14| Target

I placed a blanket on top of her to warm her up.

I tiptoed my way down stairs to make sure I don't disturb Anne.

I went downstairs to help Ms.Maria with some cooking.

"Oh! Hi Sean, how's Anne?" Her mom asks.

"Oh, she's asleep." I say.

"Is it okay, if I help you with that, Ms.Maria?" I ask.

"Oh yes sure! I'm just trying to see how this recipe works." Her mom says while scanning the cookbook.

"Sean, such multi-talented boy you are!" Her mom says.

"Oh, thank you, Ms.Maria" I said smiling at her.

Anne's POV

I woke up from a warm object covering my body. It was a blanket.

I checked the time and saw it was quite early. I scanned around my room to see if Sean was still here. He doesn't seem to be here, so I think he went home.

"Hey, ma! Where's Sea-.." I ask looking at my mom and Sean talking about something.

"Never mind. What are you guys talking about?" I ask taking the last step on the stairs.

"Oh, nothing!" Sean says smiling showing his dimples.

I love it when his dimples appear.

Its the cutest.

"Oh you see, were talking about-.." My mom says.

"Cooking!" Sean says loudly making his face flush red.

"Eh, okay?, I'll just be in my room if you need me." I say making my way upstairs.

"Take me with you!." Sean says following me.

My mom decided we would watch a movie in our living room.

Mom microwaved some popcorn like you know when its in a bag then you'll wait for it to enlarge, okay, and gave them to Sean and I.

After an hour.

"Oh Sean its getting late." My mom says.

"Oh yeah, I should get going now." he says looking at the wall clock.

"Oh,let us take you home." My mom says.

"Oh its okay Ms.maria, I'll be okay." He says.

Sean's POV

Ms.Maria insisted she would take me home.

I declined her offer, but she kept insisting. So I had to.

I live kind of near to their house. Just about like 10 minutes? I guess,that'll do.

"Okay! Were here!" Ms. Maria says looking at me.

I looked at her smiling, pointing at Anne who was sleeping on my shoulder.

She looks so cute.

How I could just see her everyday.

"Oh yeah, I'm sorry, let me wake her up." Ms. Anne says getting out of her seat.

"Oh no, its alright." I say

*Next day*

Anne's POV

It was 2 in the afternoon. Doing my usual routine.

Just watching some YouTube videos on my bed.

"Hey, anak." My mom says.

I looked up to her closing my laptop and sat down.

"Yes, ma?" I ask

"Okay, so I enrolled you to school already, which will be starting next week" my mom says sitting on the edge of the table.

I nod.

"Okay, I'll be heading downstairs, get dressed in a bit, were going to buy school supplies. My mom says getting out of the door.

We got into the mall after 20 minutes.

I went to get some school supplies while my mom is looking for some magazines.

I took some crayons, mechanical pencils, highlighters, paper, binders, ordinary pencils and a glue stick.

My thigh got bumped into something behind me, which felt like a pushcart. I looked back. While rubbing my thigh.

"Oh, I'm so sorry." He says.

"Its fine" I say

"Well I'm really sorry, What's your name?" He asks.

"No worries" I say giving him an assuring smile.

"My names Anne." I added.

"Oh im Adam" He says.

That name sounds familiar.

He seems familiar too.

I mean who cares.

I'm pretty sure he's in the Philippines.
