Darkness.

Everywhere was just... just darkness and numbness. I couldn't feel. I couldn't see. It was as if there was a huge weight keeping my eyes shut. I couldn't taste or smell or anything either. It was a strange feeling. I had never once in my life felt this way. At least... I didn't think I had.

I tried to comprehend what was happening but it was like I was just, I don't know, like I was just there. I was there only floating around in that pitch black void. I was nothing.

Or maybe not. I knew I wasn't dead. Maybe I was just unconscious? Was it all just a dream or my mind and body playing tricks on me? I didn't know, I couldn't know until-

    RRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE

Suddenly I heard this deafening ringing noise in my ears. I wanted to cover my ears with my hands but there was no feeling where I thought my arms should be. I couldn't move at all. It was like torture to my ears 'cause let me tell you, it hurt like heck. As it went on it turned into a long and monotonous, mind-numbing sound that just wouldn't stop. No matter hard hard I tried to tune it out, no matter how long I waited, it went on and on and on. It was quite annoying to be honest. I started to feel though. I started to feel a head-splitting headache. Of course this happens to me, now, when I have absolutely no clue whats happening, how it's happening, or how to get rid of it. I mean, I didn't even know if this was real!

Then finally, after what felt like hours, that death sound faded away. It was slow but I didn't want to complain. My headache remained for a bit longer than the noise but thankfully, that faded too. I eventually got feeling in my fingertips and it spread down my fingers, through my palms and to my wrists. In other and less descriptive words, I finally got feeling in my fingers and hands.

I tried moving them by continuously opening and closing my hands into fists. Once I got the hang of that, I tried feeling the ground around me. I still couldn't see around me, the pressure still holding my eyes closed. Around me felt rough and grainy. It was getting in between my fingertips and sticking there. I tried getting it off by rubbing my fingers together. Ugh. It was probably getting everywhere. It also felt hot, burning hot, so there's another thing. Dang.

After my fingers I could feel my legs and feet. I tried pushing myself up but I didn't have enough strength yet. I grunted in frustration and lied back down on the ground. Well, at least I knew I wasn't dead. I didn't think I was dreaming...  ugh, what the heck was happening to me.

Suddenly I got a weird feeling in my stomach and my head. I willed it to go away. Just like the ringing did though, it stayed. In fact, it grew stronger and stronger with every passing minute. It wasn't painful but it really wasn't pleasant either. The feeling grew. I felt like... like something was about to happen. Possibly something bad. Alright, that was it. I needed to get out of here. Out of this situation. I couldn't take it anymore.

I tried lifting myself up again with shaky and unsteady arms. My arms gave out but I quickly tried again. Something dangerous was coming fast. I breathed heavily and panted, trying again and again to sit up and open my eyes. The grainy stuff I felt earlier got into my mouth and I accidentally sucked it into my lungs, breathing hard, and I started coughing like a maniac. Ugh this stuff is so annoying! My heart was racing and my head felt like it would explode. Then the ringing came back louder and more high pitched. Just great!

Pushing more and more my arms aching and my head and heart continuously pounding, I let out a small cry of pain. I could feel moisture and sweat rolling down my face. My cry got even louder with the mountains of pain I was experiencing. My body felt like it would just collapse or burst. I felt something happening and I had no idea what I was going through.
