I drag my two suitcases through the tiled floor of this fancy airport. Why did my mum go the extra mile to get me first class plane tickets? I'll never know. She could barely afford to buy me a pair of Adidas trainers last month. I don't know what's changed but I'm curious to find out.
I stopped in my tracks when I saw a couple of smartly dressed guys in suits holding 'welcome signs' for people they are going to escort home. I read all the names that were written on the cards: Blair Waterstone sounds like a stuck up bitch. Ivy Millers, popular hoe I'm guessing. Gloria Mannings "But daddy, I don't care about our fortune.". Cameron , spend his weekend partying and doing drugs. Oh the elite life of rich stuck up teens. And then there's Penelope: A girl her friends call Lo, pronounced [l-oh] also known as I- the casually sarcastic, dark humour, lazy, introverted bitch.
I go up to the smiling man and he greets me straight away offering to carry my luggage. "Hello Miss Penelope I'm Preston."
"Please, call me Lo." I interrupt before poor Preston could even finish what he was saying.
He nods. "Miss Lo I'll be escorting you to your new home for the summer." His sentences were short and his voice was almost robotic.
"Thank you." a smile spreads on my face and I follow him out of the building. We didn't have to walk far because a black limo was already waiting for us outside. "Wow Preston. Did my mum order this limo?"
"No, I work for Mr and Mrs Vitalis." He says holding the door open for me. What the fuck is this? Who is this Vitalis family? How does my mum know them? Why did she offer for me to stay here and what the fuck?
"You probably got a lot of question, Mrs Christina will answer them all." He assures me as if he had the power to read my mind. Nervous laughs escape my lips as I watch him shut the door in front of me.

45 minutes has gone and so has my will to live. I couldn't bare this heat its probably 100 degrees here and I'm definitely not dressed appropriately for it, I already stripped off my jumper and rolled up the bottom of my leggings to my mid calves. The sudden stop of the limo made me fall out the leather seat that stuck to my sweaty arms but I quickly got back up and acted like nothings happened.
The doors opened again and the familiar face of Preston appeared in my sight. Clumsily I step out the limo and gasp when I see my reflection in the blacked out window, cheese sticks, I looked like a mess. My eyes focused on the reflection and my mouth dropped when I realised what was behind me.
The most beautiful and elegant house I have ever seen. Palm trees circled a pool in the middle and accompanied the house that had giant pillars making the house look as if a Greek Goddess herself lived here. I was speechless.
"Follow me, Miss Livas."
"Lo" I correct him.
"Right, Lo." He smiles apologetically. My legs follow him but my eyes look around and find a new thing that fascinated me. From the way the palm trees were placed and the fountain in front of the house, to the beautiful guest suite that was bigger than my house back in England. I was so not used to this heat. Even on the hottest days I would spend most of my time inside, watching Netflix while a cold fan was blowing refreshing air at me.
Preston opened the big door and straight away I was greeted by Mrs Christina, I think, and three maids that stood in line besides her.
"Hello my dear." The tall lady wearing a white flowy dress with blue details came up to me and gave me a tight hug. I awkwardly laughed and hugged her back.
"You must be Mrs Christina Vitalis." I say smiling.
"Please, call me Tina, you're going to be living with us this summer there's no need for formal names. Besides, that name makes me fell old." She laughs at her own joke and I chuckle to sound nice.
"Sure. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful home this summer." I say with a smile still on my face.
"The pleasures all mine Penelope. This is going to be much a good opportunity for Weston to pick up some of your characteristics over the summer. Chad and him are late like always," She looks at the watch on her wrist then back at me. "but they should be back soon their only at the beach." She laughs lightly. "Ah there he is," Her eyes light up as she looks at someone behind me. "where's Weston?"
"He went to his room." A masculine voice replies.
"Chad this is Penelope. Penelope, Chad."
"Thanks for inviting me to your home Sir." Looking him in the eyes I speak. He was tall with a powerful and intimidating atmosphere that followed him everywhere.
"Preston, will you show Penelope to her room?" Chad asks but even I, being a dumb blonde bitch knew that it was an order.
Preston's hands were behind his back and he was stood straight. "Of course." He nods and starts following the maids up the stairs and I was right behind him too following like a lost puppy that I am. After walking down a long hallway the maids walked in through the double doors and into a room.
It was massive. A king sized bed that had metal, square bars going up and creating a squared above the bed, there was a vanity desk and two chest of drawers. A beautiful rug decorated the light wooden floors and the sunlight created shadows from the big windows that covered up the whole wall. Then my eyes catch the view out of the windows. Beautiful waves battle lazily in ocean, reflecting the sunshine.
"The beach belongs to the family you're allowed to go there when ever you wish."
"They own a beach?" A beach?
"Well a part of it. Its divided and shared between the owners of the next door houses."
"Wow. Okay. I guess I need to unpack." I say looking at my luggage.
"Okay Miss Lo." He clears his thought. "I'll get someone to call you down when dinners ready." A small smile appears on his face and he turns around to leave the room.
"Thank you Preston, you were very helpful." I thanks him and watch him stop for a moment before walking away again.
