This year, my dormant-since-high-school makeup obsession has been awakened with my discovery of YouTube makeup vlogs. I'd long dismissed them as being for teens, and full of unwearable or age-inappropriate looks until I found my gateway YouTuber, ViviannaDoesMakeup.
She was first recommended to me from AmandaLaird5 and once I started watching I was hooked. I found her all neutral wardrobe and compulsion to buy the same shade of bronzed eyeshadow over and over again relatable, and the fact that we already had some of the same product favorites and similar colouring made me trust her opinions on new launches (also, we share the same last name, weird?)

Soon, my YouTube subscriptions were growing (glamlifeguru, ttsandra, esteelalonde, & lilypebbles are faves) and my Sephora trips reached an embarrassing frequency. Since Wattpad launched multimedia earlier this year, I've started seeing some Wattpad beauty stories started (MelissaPennington's Glo Up is my #1) and I thought it was time to start my own.
So, I'll be posting hauls, edits, empties, first impressions, reviews and tutorials - and explaining what those are to #olds like me who don't know their vlogger glossary of terms yet.
