It rains and it pours
This little district is where all the boy-whores come
I am among them
Seeking and searching
for a lover in the rain
It's nothing but heartbreaks here
You're not supposed to search for love in a client
At the end of the day all they do is use you
for how good you make them feel.
For the longest time I was alone
I lost my wolf and I needed him back
I tried looking for a friend—in clients and in the people that lived here—but nobody clicked with me. They were too exhausting to be with.
I navigate heartbreak island with a fist full of dreams
and a shopping list of wishes my heart makes
Is friendship truly magic?
Not when it's forced.
Here, in the rain with all the other boys, I can't help but retch at the sickening things these boys say.
"I hope he doesn't hit me tonight."
"I stitched my face up so I could get more money. Maybe someone'll pity me."
"I just want to go home."
"Maybe I'll make a new friend tonight."
They all had one thing in common
They were lonely
I try not to be the statistic
And yet here I am on Heartbreak Island; a dirty soul lost without his puppy.
I just want him back.
