"Chris, Rose what happened?" Ingrid asks.
"Ice-cream battle." Chris says.
"Ok go wash off and give Rose a shirt." Ingrid laughs. Chris smiles as his mum ruffles his hair.
We walk into the pale blue bathroom and begin to take turns rinsing the ice-cream out of our hair in the sink. Chris splashes me when I begin to snapchat him.
"Chris this was your fault. You brought it on yourself." I yell as I record.
"Just because I said Harry-" I cut him off by splashing water from the sink onto him. He laughs at me and shakes his head.
He lifts me up from my waist and sets me onto the counter. He begins to briskly wash ice-cream out of my hair. He tucks a piece of hair behind my ear. I look down as I feel my cheeks flush red. He lifts my head up with his fingers and smiles down at me.
He leans down and kisses my fore-head gently. "I don't want to over-step my boundarys or make you rush in to anything-" I cut him off with a simple kiss. Nothing rushed but man did it feel good.
I pull back after a few seconds and look down and say softly, "Could I get a shirt, Chris?" He smiles softly, nods and walks out.
I really hope I didn't rush him.
Clearly I like him but I don't think I'm ready.
Well maybe I am but he isn't... I shouldn't've kissed him.
I feel my phone ringing in my pocket. I grab it out to see Luna calling me. I answer quickly.
"What's wrong?" Luna asks.
"How did-"
"I'm your friend I just know."
"Chris and I kissed." I state. She squeals through the phone loud enough I'm sure Chris could hear from his room.
"As in tonsil tennis, the tongue tango the-"
"It was just the lips and yeah um..."
"How did it feel?" She asks.
"God it felt good but I don't know if I'm ready you know. I feel like I would be betraying Noah." I sigh.
"You and I both know that Noah would want you to move on and be happy. I know it's hard to move on but you have to try and be happy for Noah." She speaks. "What happened after?" She asks.
"God I'm so awkward. I asked him for a shirt since mine is covered in ice-cream." I sigh. She laughs.
"Just-"
"Rosie here's the shirt and I got you some loose shorts since I don't think a boring black t-shirt will go with the school skirt." Chris coughs awkwardly from the door, a red blush laces his cheeks.
"Thanks. I'll talk to you later Luna." I smile. "Bye." Luna and I say at the same time.
I approach Chris and grab the shirt and bottoms. "Thanks again." I nod.
"No problem. I'll meet you outside on the deck." He smiles. He walks out and I lock the bathroom door behind him.
The shorts stop above my thigh but I quite liked them and Chris's shirt went just above the shorts which was very loose and comfortable. I tied my hair into a messy bun. I walk downstairs and outside to see Chris tuning his guitar.
He looks up and his eyes widen. "Wow um... Hi." He says.
"Hey." I say as I sit down across from him setting my guitar on my lap. I noticed he was wearing track pants and a hoodie now. He looked really cute. Especially since his hair slipping down his face and it was really messy.
"Chris?" I speak after a while.
"mmm?" he hums.
"Ab-"
"Rosie your mum is here." Ingrid yells. I check the time to see that it was 6. Wow that was fast. Chris stands up and walks me up to the door.
"Chris I-"
"I understand if you're not ready so take some time to think alright." He pecks a kiss to my fore-head.
"Thanks. For everything Chris." I say. He nods. I carry my school bag and guitar case down and put it in the backseat.
I walk out the door and hop into the front seat and see my mum looking at my outfit.
"Umm..."
"We had an ice-cream battle and my clothes were covered in ice-cream."
"Well ok then. Let's get home before Declan burns down the kitchen since he's trying to cook a pizza."
"Sounds good."
