2016

For the rest of her twenty years, Marilyn Hurly lived with scientists and the men in suits. She wondered if they ever had a family also because they were never missing. They were always there.

They raised her, fed her and gave her a warm home. From all of them, a woman in her forties -also known as her nickname- Lee grew Marilyn up like she was her own daughter. During the long daylight to the dark night where Marilyn would have nightmares from the death of her family.

She held her at night, slept with her until there was nothing but endless dreams. Marilyn grew up knowing about the underground building that the government kept hidden from humans. Just like Area 51 she heard about when people said they had aliens.

She doesn't know if that's true or not because it's none of her concern but she does know about Area 75. The one she goes in everyday in her life to learn about the bloodthirsty monsters that killed her family.

She found out at age thirteen. She was scared for a while and didn't know if she should believe the scientists until they brought one bloodthirsty monster to her.

Seeing the vampire, a woman who looked young and beautiful. Her wrists and ankles chained up against the wall. She was locked in a little box, proof walls where if she ever did break free from the chains, she wouldn't be able to get out.

Young and new with this, Marilyn was terrified to see the creature bare her fangs at her, snarling for something she wants. Blood. The thing is, all scientists have to wear protective ray glasses when they work around vampires. Especially when they talk to them.

Over the years they caught on how vampires have this special mind control when they look closely in your eyes. But now they are broken and defeated because the humans wear glasses.

Marilyn was speechless, watching them torture the vampire. Yes, indeed she saw her as a vampire who kills humans but on the other hand, Marilyn was staring at a woman who was trying to get out of this lock.

"She's deadly, she will kill you without hesitation." Standing besides Marilyn, Lee says to her. But Marilyn couldn't pry her eyes off of the woman who was crying at the burning sunlight that was on her.

On top of her little prison box is an opening that scientists are able to open as much as they want to burn the vampires. She was burning, smoke coming off her back and Marilyn couldn't think how much it smells in there of burning flesh.

"Come' on." Lee grabs her arm, pulling her away from the glass box. "You've seen enough."

Now twenty-six years old, Marilyn is strong enough to walk around Area 75 and watch scientists check on vampires. She grew up around them, wondering how their living is.

Marilyn did go to school in New York City, but a private school. She wasn't able to talk about the monsters hidden in Area 75 to the people she went to school with and she understood that.

But she didn't go to college. The government wanted her to train and work in Area 75 when it's the right time. All her life, Marilyn wanted to be assigned to a vampire but they told her to wait. Just because she is the youngest person in Area 75 to work in there.

"Marilyn, Agent Doloman wants to talk to you." Lee says after knocking on her bedroom door. Marilyn brushes her long light brown hair, looking at Lee through the mirror when she walks in.

"For what now?" She asks and Lee shrugs.

"I don't know, let's go and see." Marilyn sighs while placing her brush on her desk.
