Same as white magic can't cure beings from dark origin, it can't heal injuries inflicted by forbidden magic. All I was able to do was clean his wounds.

“I was waiting for you to wake up,” said a soft voice that startled me.

There was no expression on his face.

“I'm going to school.” “There's no need for you to come.” Sa'kin na siya nakatingin.

“I-I'm.” I caught his attention who's about to step out. I cleared my throat.

I stared at the door where he quietly went out. Everything felt so awkward.

We all believed—that Khaos is Cyan. I was certain he is. I made him believe that he is... Cyan. How could this have happened?

“Why are you staring into nothing?”

My heart raced after hearing that voice.

“I know this is so abrupt, but who are you?”

His brows furrowed as he sat up. “Who else do you think?”

His familiar sarcastic tone and annoyed expression made me anxious. “Can you please just answer my question.” I clenched my fist, hoping that he'll give me a different answer from what was already obvious.

Mapait akong napangiti sa maling naisip.

“I'm Cyan. Do you still want to hear my last name?!”

My eyes almost bursted in tears, but not because of joy. Silence filled the room. I can't look him in the eyes.

“Nothing changed about you,” aniya.

“Y-you too, there's not much difference.”

Matipid siyang ngumiti. “Someone who's dead for years wouldn't change in any way.”

“You're right. You were dead so how are you alive now?”

My question sounded wrong. It was persecuting. Pero hindi ko 'yon magawang bawiin. Gusto ko 'yong masagot.

“I don't have any idea. I was hoping you'll know.”

“Who was that guy a while ago? He looks exactly like me.”

Natigilan ako sa tanong na 'yon. Naabutan niya pala ang pag-alis ni Khaos.

I took a deep breathe. I told him everything that happened after he died and about Khaos.

“Once we return, we can go back to how we were before.” Humigpit ang hawak niya.

“Go back?” Reality sank in. “O-of course,” bawi ko.

“W-when you're better, we 'll go.” Inalalayan ko siyang mahiga. “For now, rest.” After making sure he's comfortable, dali-dali akong nagpaalam. “E-excuse me for a bit.”

After shutting the door, I fell slumped on the floor, crouching. Mabilis na nagtubig ang mga mata ko.

My mind clouded with thoughts along with endless tears coming from my eyes.

Everything Khaos, went through was for nothing. The suffering I made him endure has no purpose. I just made him believe that he's someone he's not. I forced him to be Cyan for my own selfishness.

This pain I'm feeling from all this is probably nothing compared to what's tormenting Khaos right now.

How can I just leave him as if he didn't mean anything to me.

Kasalanan ko lahat 'to.
