Chapter 21: Forgiveness IS key.

Hiccup's POV

I slowly open my eyes, my whole face hurts.

"Aurghh........ what? where..?"

"Hiccup!!! You're awake!!"

"Who?? What?? Gobber?? Is that you??"

"Yes Hiccup, I made you a new prosthetic leg! Here, try it on!"

"New?? Why? What's wrong with the old one?"

"It's broken. You see, it was the reason why you fell.....this new prosthetic leg is better than the old one."

I sat up and my head was aching really really badly.

"Ouch!!! My head...!!"

"Oh, you hit your head on a rock.. Astrid took you here."

"Astrid?? Where is she?"

"She left an hour ago, I do not know."

"Can I see her?"

"Well, you can't get up yet. You're too weak..."

I attached the new prosthetic leg, and I tried to stand up.

"Better not try to do that while I'm gone...okay?"

"Uh....okay."

Gobber ran downstairs, and went outside.

I stared into the mirror on my vanity.

Wow, I have a bruise, a blackeye and bandage around my head.

"Oh man, I just remembered that she punched me on the face.."

Suddenly, I heard some footsteps.

Its coming upstairs......

It- it's Astrid!!

"Hi....." she says shyly.

"Hi...."

I stared into her eyes.

Those perfect blue eyes.

"Are you....okay?"

"Actually, no."

"I'm- i'm sorry for hitting you."

"No, it's okay..."

"If you need some help with your head bandage, you can just call me. I mean, that's my job.......... as a girlfriend."

I suddenly froze.

I completely forgot that we were dating.

I mean, when I got so tired......i felt COMPLETELY different.

I felt like me and Astrid are JUST friends...

"Astrid....."

I wanted to ask her what her problem was.....but.....she MIGHT punch me again.

"Astrid.......... do you still.......... love me?"

She freezed for a moment.

Then she sat on the side of my bed.

(Hiccup is sitting, by the way.....)

"Hiccup.........yes. But I have the strangest feeling that your.......... cheating............on..........me..........."

I was shocked on what she said.

"What??? Why would I do that!? Is that why you're mad at me??"

"Yes!!!"

"........Who would you think I'm dating.....!?"

"Me...."

"And who do you think I'm cheating on you with??"

"Ruff.....nut....."

"WHAT??? PLEASE EXPLAIN!!!!!"

"Because!! I saw you two at the tavern one day, and you both were on Toothless the other night, and you guys are hanging out almost everyday!! I'm your girlfriend, and I think I'm the one who's suppose to be in HER place! If you love me, you would never do that!! If you only love me!!!! I mean............."

As she was still BLABBERING about everything, all I did was bend near her, and I aimed to kiss her.

I kissed her and she was so speechless!

Her face looked shocked upon what I am doing right now.

I held her cheeks and kissed her even more.

"Hrmmmm!!!!!!" She tried to talk while I'm kissing her, but she wasn't so lucky.

She punched my chest, but I didn't let go of the kiss.

Until she got tired, and finally, she responded to my kiss.

We kissed passionately, until Gobber walked in.

"Hey Hiccup, I asked Astrid to run here first, I got tired and got you some mil-"

Astrid stopped kissing me and quickly faced Gobber.

"Uhm Gobber!!!!!"

Gobber was holding a cup filled with milk, when he saw me and Astrid kissing, he dropped it.

"Uhm...Uhm.....did I disturb you.....guys?"

"Oh, no..... What is it, Gobber?"

"Um...I got ya some milk."

"Oh, thanks....."

"I'll just put it here on.....the......table..........."

He says as he took steps backwards and knocked the table over.

"Now....I have to go get......some..... I- I'm just going outside...." he chuckled while he went downstairs."

"Ugh.....Gobber..."

Astrid smiled at me.

"Listen, Astrid, I was with Ruffnut, I was planning with her!"

"What? For Tuffnut's birthday?"

"No! For our cancelled date...."

"Wha-what?"

"Because I cancelled our date, I decided to have ANOTHER date. It was supposed to be a secret 'sorry' date."

"Secret Sorry Date??"

"Yeah, secret because I was suppose to surprise you. Sorry because I cancelled out first date. And yeah..."

"Hiccup! That's amazing....... I'm so sorry I doubted you!!"

"Hehe........."

Astrid kissed me, so hard, I fell to my bed.

"Astrid!!!"

While kissing me, she smiled at me and held my cheeks.

Muah!

Our lips made a smacking sound when we stopped kissing.

I was half-lying unto my bed, while Astrid was on top of me and her arms are around my waist.

"Astrid......"

She rested her head on my chest.

"Hm??"

"I think you owe Ruffnut an apology."

"Yeah. I know actually, I did something REALLY bad."

"Oh no, what did you do?"

"I punched her on the face."

"WHAT?? WHY!?"

She stood up and looked at the ground.

"Cuz! You know.....! I thought you were cheating on me...."

"Oh....."

I stood up, I feel better now....since her problem is solved, and since she still loves me.

"Listen, dont think about that now...."

I kissed her forehead.

"I love you, Hiccup.."

"I love you too, Astrid."
