My review: This book at first really reminded me of the Lady Knight, which I had just read before this, but it turns out to be quite different! It is definitely much faster paced, with shorter chapters. The characters are still very likeable and the story isn't filled with any filler chapters or anything that's not really important to the plot. You get to really see Celia and John's friendship develop, and there's just enough romance and conflict to keep you interested. There were a few spelling and grammar errors but nothing drastic, and the way the characters talk isn't completely accurate to the time period. I would say it's a pretty PG read and if you like soft romantic historical fictions, check it out! Rating: 7/10 Status: completed!
