Power Within II: Bound by a Promise(Under revision)

XIV: VAMPIRE

The kidnapping incident and the unexplainable truck accident immediately came to mind.

"I believe it was Klaude and Chartreuse' doing. The latter most probably did this to Eve."

All my memories haven't come back yet. Most if them are still muddled. I do recall a certain Klaude and Chartreuse from the fragments of my past.

"If I remember correctly, the school's protected by a barrier."

"Hindi nga 'to dapat basta-basta nakakapasok." Kausap na ni Adria ang sarili. "Maliban na lang kung..." She paused. "Sinabayan niya tayo sa pagpasok." Baling niya na sa 'kin. "I incapacitated the barrier for a few seconds so that the portal can go through here directly." I saw regret on her face. "I was too careless. They were watching you very closely, Cyan. And took the chance when they had it."

Naputol ang usapan nang biglang bumangon ang bata. "I-I must go find her."

"No, stay here. Hindi pa mabuti ang kalagayan mo." Pinigil 'to ni Adria sa magkabilang balikat.

"I'm g-going to take your betrothed back."

"I-its alright, it's.... just a lifeless body," sagot ni Adria kasabay ng paglingon sa 'kin.

Saglit ding napatingin sa direksyon ko ang bata pero agad din 'tong nag-iwas. "But, your highness...."

"Vampires can't heal from white magic." Saka ko lang napansin na hindi nga gumaling ang kahit aling sugat ng bata kahit na ginamot niya 'yon. "There's only one way, then." Inililihis niya ang manggas ng suot. "I'll give you some of my-"

"Let me do it."

Sabay silang napalingon sa 'kin dahil sa pagsabat ko sa usapan. I don't need to be a genius to understand what Adria was about to do.

"I'm aware of what vampires need to survive." Hinawakan ko siya sa braso at inayos uli ang suot niya.

I don't like the idea of someone else touching her, moreover biting her, even if a life depends on it.

"Surely, I can suffice or do you have such high standards?" tanong ko sa bata.

"N-no, Cyan. I can't let you do it."

"Your majesty, I'd rather drink his." Seryoso ako nitong tiningnan bago ibinalik ang atensyon sa kausap. "Than your precious blood."

Ilang minutong nag-isip si Adria. Meanwhile, the little girl's piercing me with her gaze. It was obvious that she doesn't like me.

"A-alright," Adria finally agreed though hesitant.

"How do you want me to bite you, Rebirth?" The vampire pertained to me with an unknown term as she tries to intimidate me with her cold stare.

"However you prefer, little girl. " I handed her my arm just like what Adria was supposed to do awhile ago.

She pulled me down that made me bend a knee. She's weak, and yet she was that strong.

Naramdaman ko na lang ang pagbaon ng pangil niya hindi sa braso ko kundi sa leeg ko. She bit me like a hungry beast. Nananadya yata 'to.

Dama ko ang pagkasabik nito sa dugo. She was sucking hard. Halos wala nang bakas ng sugat ang katawan niya nang kusa siyang bumitiw.

"How long has it been since you last drank?" Napakapit ako sa kama dahil sa panghihina.

"Twenty-two years ago." She smirked as she licked the dripping blood from her lips.

"Since the day I gave you my blood? Gano'n katagal?" gulat na tanong ni Adria. "Maybe that's the reason why Chartreuse won over you. You were in your weakest state."

"Your majesty," anas nito kay Adria. "His blood is of an elemental master," tukoy nito sa 'kin. "Yet he's far too incomplete."

"A-anong ibig mong sabihin, Eve?"

"The Rebirth won't be whole without a missing piece."

Halatang lalong naguluhan si Adria sa narinig.

The little girl waved her hand and a black hole materialized on the wall. "I really must take back what was stolen," she emphasized. "I also have a score to settle with that dreadful succubus. The mockery she did towards me is unforgivable."

The vampire gave me one last look before disappearing.
