Sirius used to hate valentines day. He hated all the attention he got from all the girls and all the crap he got from them and all the pink and purple everywhere. James, of course, was totally jealous of his best friend getting all this stuff, and couldn't understand why he didn't want it.
But once he started dating Remus, the gifts became fewer and most of them were things from Remus that he actually wanted. And he could spend the whole day at Hogsmeade with his boyfriend instead of dodging kisses and hugs and crying single girls that wanted him. *Not that all single girls are like that (some of us are single gonna mingle ready 4 a Pringle).*
