Prologue
Falling in love was the easy part
But forgetting everything we ever had was the hard part.
He was here one day, and gone the next.
He seemed to have forgotten easily enough, so why can't I?
Why can't I forget the way he made me feel?
Why?
That's all I want to know... I just want to know why.
It had been just a normal Saturday morning when it happened, granted I did stop by the coffee shop instead of going home, but at the time I didn't see the harm.
I just wanted to bring coffee home to my boyfriend.
I guess that was my first mistake.
Maybe... If I'd been home sooner, I could've stopped him from leaving... I could've stood some sort of chance of keeping him with me.
That's the funny thing about time though.
You could be mere seconds away from something life changing.
I didn't know though...
How could I?
How could anyone?
There were no indications..
The night before he acted the same, nothing was off about him... Or at least that I noticed.
They say ignorance is bliss, but really it's not.
Ignorance, I guess you could say probably lead to the fact I didn't know that he was going to leave me.
I was an ignorant fool... An ignorant fool with a broken heart.
He didn't leave anything behind, all of his clothes... just everything that belonged to him.
In a way... It was like he was never here...
Sometimes, I wonder if maybe... he was just a figment of my imagination. That would be the most ideal way to handle everything, but there was always something that reassured me that he was in fact real.
He left one thing behind, but it really wasn't his. Just a small post-it note, with three simple words and his name...
It was the only thing that kept me holding on.
And holding on wasn't something I should be doing...
It's been over a year since I've seen him, and it's finally gotten to that point to where I'm done.
I'm done trying to find him... I'm done holding onto the ghost of something that used to be....
I was done loving Harry Styles.

Sorry it's short, but I needed to get this up before I passed out from the lack of sleep.
This week has just been hell, and I'm so glad that the term is finished. I've got the next three days off school and work, so I'll be able to update a lot for that time period.
