Rians Pov
~a few days later~
I Jump up out of bed in excitement (which never happens.) as I hop into the shower. I blast my favorite playlist on Spotify as I basically start performing burning up by Marianas Trench.
I think about today. Today. Is the day. Dan and I have been texting non stop but it's so weird since he lives right across from me. But I think we both want to act like we don't so we can go on a real date. Date. Is it a date? What if he is just doing it to be nice? He probably doesn't even like me in that way. Do I like him in that way? My phone goes off breaking my thoughts. I laugh at my phone "good luck today girl. Who can't resist a goofy girl like you!" Hailee sent me as I've been telling her about this since it was planned. I then hear my phone go off again. "Excited for later today. Oh and um. Bring your camera(:" I read out loud the text from Dan. I smile and reply with okay as I make breakfast in a towel.
I ate my eggs on toast while editing some pictures. I then go into my room and look into my closet. I stand there for a second and try to think what to wear. He hasn't really told me where we're going or what we're doing so I'm not sure what's appropriate for this dat- evening activity. I corrected myself.
I finally decide to grab high waisted black skinny ripped jeans. I then grabbed a White loose shirt. It a was a bit chilly as I grabbed my olive green light cardigan type. I then slip on my black combat boots.
I decide I wanted to wear my contacts today and go pretty all out on make up. I put on foundation, eye shadow, did my eyebrows, attempted my eyeliner, and badly attempted my contour. I then lastly put on mascara. I think about if I want to wear lipstick. I put on this dark pink purple color. I then look in the mirror and hate it. I remove it quickly as I looked back in the mirror. I was actually impressed because if left my lips sort of color stained by the lipstick.
I then decide to curl my hair with my straightener with loose curled/waves. I look at myself in the mirror as I sigh. "Why do you try Ri" I said in the mirror but laughed.
I talked to Hailee on FaceTime until it got time to get ready for a second time. I re curled some curls, I brushed my teeth.... For the fifth time, put perfume on, I fix my make up. As I heard the door ring. I walk over slowly as I open the door. There I saw. Dan in black skinny jeans. And in a warm hoodie that buttoned around his neck. He smiled as I smiled back. "Wow, you look. Wow." Dan said as he took a breath. I just smiled and looked down. "Oh I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that that was-" "shush, you don't look too bad yourself." I joked as I walk out the door with him locking the door.
"So I wasn't sure if you wanted to take an uber cause I actually don't have a car at the moment. Or if you wanted to walk." He suggested as I look up. "I like to walk. Makes us talk more about things." I said as he agreed. "Well I.... Was thinking that we can walk around town and go inside the little shops and maybe stop at a place to eat." He said as we walk literally shoulder to shoulder apart from each other. Or should I say shoulder to side practically.
We Walk into town as I look around. "Woooooah like each shop is like right next to each other! And like!" I said as I point at each shop as Dan is amused and laughing.
We go into a camera shop as I of course explode with excitement. "DAN DAN DANIEL LOOK." I said as I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the end of the store. "Look look it's what I want soooo bad!" I said pointing at the Polaroid camera. Dan chuckled. "I'm gonna buy it." I said as I grabbed my bag. Dan stands there smiling as I look up with sad eyes. "I left my wallet at home." I said as I start walking away from it. "Woah woah wait. I'll buy it for you." Dan said stopping me as I turn around. "Dan I'm not going to let you buy that for me." I laugh ridiculously. I start walking again out the store. "So what shop should we go to nex-" I start to say as I turn around to notice Dan not there. I crossed my arms and raised my eyebrow as I see him walk out with a bag. "Dan... If that's what I think it is." Dan walked towards me as he pulls out the light blue Polaroid. My eyes widened. I walked towards him in excitement. "No way! Oh thank you thank you I PROMISE I will pay you back like right when I get home." I said as I basically jump on Dan and hug him. He laughed. "Hey look let's take one right now." He said as he took it out of the box and took a picture of us together. I look at the picture as we both smile.
We went to a couple more shops and took more pictures on the way with my camera and the Polaroid. We then decide to go inside to a late night cafe as it started getting dark. I order a tea as Dan does the same as we order some food as well. The fact I haven't ate all day cause I was so nervous about today... But for no reason...
"So why were a whole bunch of teens mobbing you and Phil the other week anyways?" I say as Dan starts coughing as he tried taking a sip of his tea. "Dan are you okay?" He nods as he still coughs. "Yeah yeah just the question. Um... Oh it's part of our project were filming for film class. You see we paid actors (the kids) to come up to us and get recognized and see how people in the area react." Dan explained as he takes a sip at the end. "Oh that's weird." I said as he laughed.
We then had a long conversation about our interest and realized how many things we enjoy when it comes to music, bands, food. We then end our meal as Dan politely pays. Because dumb me forgot to bring my wallet. "Wooooooah" I said as it was fully dark out now and noticed and saw all the Christmas lights and decorations everywhere around the town and shops. My eyes are in awe as I keep looking. I then hear a click. I look at Dan taking a picture of my in awe moment. I laughed at him as he responded. "Yeah we like to go big on Christmas over here, even a month early." He said as he laughed as I still look at all the pretty lights and notice the Christmas songs playing everywhere. Christmas is my favorite holiday. With out a doubt. I then began to hug my shoulders as the darker it gets, the colder it gets. "Oh here." He said as he unzipped his jacket. "You really don't have to." I said as he ignored me and put the jack over my shoulders as I slip my arms in. I zip it up as its soooo long on me. He then laughs at me then takes another picture of it. I gave him a pouty face to him and the camera. We walk to our way back home discussing tv shows and Music. "I had lots of fun you know?" Dan said as we walk up the stairs to kid flat. "Me too" I said as he looked down at me and smile. "Oh and here is your lens." He said as he grabbed it out of his bag. "We should really do this again." He said quietly as he handed my my lens. I smile and look up into his eyes. "Of course we will." I said as I blushed and looked at the ground. "You're so cute when you get all shy." He said and immediately stopped as his eyes widen. I look up in shock as he starts stuttering. "I'm sorry I don't know where that came fro-" "oh let me get you the money for that Polaroid!" I said breaking the other awkward conversation. I then leave the door open as I run to my room to grab it. I then look down at the money as I walk back to the door. "Here you go you can keep the change after all you did pay for that dinne-" I said as saw him gone. I looks around outside as I look at the door across from me which Is where he lives. I sigh as I shut my door. I sat on my couch and decided to watch some criminal minds. My phone then lit up as I grabbed it. "I felt so stupid for what I said and I got nervous and left I'm sorry I'm sor stupid." It was a text from Dan. I roll my eyes playfully as I text back. "I thought it was cute. And thank you for today, I had a really good time. (: needs to happen asap yeah?" I smiled as he replies immediately with "of course(: xoxo" i FaceTime Hailee and telling her what happened. "Aaaaaand he sent me xoxo" I said in excitement as she cheered with me. "You know one day I will find me a man that has the same geekiness as me." She said as she tilted her glasses as I laughed. I hung up on her after awhile and washed my make up off and put my hair up and put on comfy clothes. As I take off my shirt I realized. "I still have dans jacket." I said to myself. I look at it and remember how warm it was when I immediately get chills. I put on comfy black sweatpants and slip the jacket back on. I then get a text from Dan to snapchat him. He then gave me his snapchat as I added him. I went to grab my glasses as I couldn't see anything. He sent me a picture of him laying down in bed saying "hey loser" as I sent him a mirror selfie and put. "Ah yes the loser who is sleeping in your comfy jacket tonight." I smiled at the thought of him. He then replied with "that's alright cause I stole this from your bag. :x " as its a pic of him smiling holding up a Polaroid of me making a silly face as Dan is laughing looking at me. I snap him for awhile longer as I told him I was feeling a bit tired. "Goodnight Ri <3" he sent of him in his bed cuddled up in his blanket. My heart dropped as he called me Ri and sent a heart emoji. I smile as I fell asleep to the thought of that cute Polaroid picture of us.
Finally good things are finally happening since moving to London.
