Serena came and stood next to me, she rested her arms crossed over the railings. She looked up into the sky. I doubt she thought of the same things as me but I wasn't focused on the stars at that current moment. "They are really beautiful don't you think?" I heard her say. "Yeah..." I replied still in awe. I felt a sudden sharp pain on my forehead. Where Serena had flicked me. "Your doing it again Ketchum." She said with a slight blush and grin. "Sorry but can I help it if even the stars cannot compare to your eyes." I uttered with confidence. She flushed a bright red. "Good save." She giggled. When she looked up again, I recalled something. I walked back into the room and fished inside my winter jacket pocket for something. When I came back, she looked at me with confusion. Before i could explain, I was consumed in a blast of fire. "Ash?!" Serena exclaimed in worry as I fell to the floor covered in soot from the neck up. Braixen and the others stood behind us with the other two. She had a satisfied grin across her face. She lowered her flaming wand and lodged it back into her tail. "Braixen why in Arceus-" I cut off Serena's angry rant by putting a gentle hand on her arm. "No no, I deserved that." Serena looked at me dumbfounded while Pikachu just laughed and Braixen and Greninja nodded in agreement. I noticed they were holding hands or paws I guess. Whatever. I smiled and before I could say a word, Braixen gave me another one of her signature glares which said "Go ahead try your luck." I made a mental note not to tease them so much in future. Either way they confessed to each other apparently. I guess its my turn. "Guys could we have some privacy?" Serena once again looked at me shocked as if she knew what was coming next. The Pokemon gave us both a glance and Braixen winked at me.

I guess its my turn then. When the door closed behind the Pokemon I turned my attention to Serena once again after I brushed off the soot. As we both looked into each others eyes we both spoke at the same time. "I have a confession to make." We both said simultaneously. "Uh, you first Serena." She looked at me with her normal cheerful smile but then it was replaced by a look of sadness. She gestured to her top and I immediately knew what she was getting at. "Your ribbon..." I said sympathetically. Serena looked crushed. "I'm sorry Ash, I didn't mean to lose your gift, it was so precious to me as well." She almost looked ready to tear up. Well I knew exactly how to cure her present sadness. As she stood with a frown and her eyes closed, I took the ribbon out from my jean pocket and managed to tie it so it looked how it always looked. When Serena's eyes opened they widened with surprise. My hands stayed where they were. She was completely stunned. I chuckled at her new expression. "How...where?" Serena stuttered. " I found it and it spurred me on to find you." She stared directly into my eyes. "Serena, this ribbon is important to you, it is not just an accessory right?" Her eyes widened. Then she began to ramble "Of course not, its a symbol, it matters to me too much to lose it. Not just because it was a gift from you, but I feel like it is a symbol of our friendship, and our journey and-" I moved my right hand to her chin and pulled her in. Our lips met for a few seconds and Serena's eyes were wider than ever, mine closed. The moment I pulled away, she had a dreamy almost dazed expression. "That was a really nice way to tell me to shut up." She said with a sheepish grin.

All of a sudden the door flew open and our Pokemon partners fell to the floor. We sighed as they all sweat dropped that they had been found about their eavesdropping. I ignored them for the most part and looked back at Serena. I took the ribbon in my hand. "Serena, the ribbon is not just a symbol of our relationship, it also symbolises how you have grown as a person throughout this journey. You have come so far and its been amazing to experience it with you." She stared at me speechless as if I hit the nail on the head. "Even more, it is a mark of your resolve, your limitless resolve." I hugged her and she hugged back. It was the warmest embrace we had yet, and it melted away all the coldness of the past few days. Nothing but warmth, nothing but love could be felt. It was indescribable. We looked at the Pokemon. They were all extremely happy. Pikachu and Braixen both made their little heart symbols with their paws. We both blushed and then laughed it off. "Your resolve is one of your greatest traits and it makes you strong. And to confess, its just one of the many things I love about you." I blushed toward the end of the statement. "You l-love me?" Serena said in astonishment. "I love you to Ash, and I always have." "After seeing you in danger my feelings became quite clear." We both stared right into each others eyes. Neither of us moved. Then I felt a nudge from behind as me and Serena fell into a kiss. We both opened our eyes and pulled back in complete embarrassment. We looked down to see both Braixen and Pikachu giving us a thumbs up. We laughed and embraced one last time both of us looking right up into the shimmering night sky. Everything felt right under the stars. The future was now brimming with possibility. We shared one final kiss as the stars danced their solar ballet millions of miles away...

Well I hope you guys enjoyed this story. Honestly, its amazing that its done. There is a freedom in writing these, I feel like I'm part of the story and as I write I feel the possibilities and ideas flow as if they really were limitless. The reason I feel it will be different is because I have an idea and after asking a few fellow amourshippers they like the idea.
