41. For the role as Hermione, Rowling wanted someone who had brains and not just looks. She kept in touch with some alternatives before finding Emma Watson. Already over the phone, Rowling decided that this was the girl they had been looking for. But when she met Emma, she found out that the actress had both brains and looks, and of course, she got the part. Some people just seem to have everything from birth.
