"Mr. Alafan!"  A person exclaimed, bursting through the doors of the hall and into the throne room.

An old man had a wooden staff in his hand, which he rested his hand on along with his weight.  Where his hand rested at the top of the cane was a yellow stone, with a symbol on it.  The same golden symbol resided on the front of his white robes, which was partly covered by his white beard.  With gold trimming and brown sandals, the old man referred to as Alafan stared at the giant throne in front of him.

Marble stairs led up to it, and above the throne sprouted decorative crystals, though it was golden metal.  Above that rested a giant painting in a gold frame, and it showed a picture of a woman with magnificent beauty and the same staff that Alafan possessed.  With long golden hair and a white dress, the woman's eyes seemed to glow; bizarre it was, for her eyes were brown but bright yellow light was shining out of them.

Alafan turned quickly despite his old age, and looked down at his apprentice, Ford, who was nothing but a villager in training to be the higher up's messenger.

"What is it, child?"  Alafan replied, looking at Ford curiously.

Ford put his hands on his knees, breathing heavily as if he had run a mile.  Alafan waited patiently for Ford to continue, and watched him slowly, wondering what news he brought.

Then, Ford lifted his head quickly, and Alafan was surprised at the tears in his eyes.  He smiled brightly, his young face lighting up despite the brown and dull clothing he wore.

"They're here, Mr. Alafan!"  Ford exclaimed happily.  "Fairy Tail has arrived!"

Lucy, along with Natsu and the others, stared up in amazement.

"Woah!"  Happy exclaimed.

Weighing heavily on them was a giant island high up in the air, the jagged rock bottom of it staring above their faces about one thousand and five hundred feet up into the open air.

"This is it!"  Wendy exclaimed excitedly.

Lucy sweat-dropped.  "One question...how on earth do we get up there?!"

"Fly!"  Happy exclaimed, summoning his wings.

Lucy shook her head.  "You and Charle can't carry all of us, Happy!"

"Oi...what is that?"  Gray replied, looking up into the sky.

Everyone followed his gaze, and Lucy used her hand to block the sunlight from her eyes so that she could see.  As her eyes focused, she saw black disturbances in the sky, and her eyes narrowed to try and make sense of it.
