"There will be other girls." I admit it for the first time today.

He holds my gaze.

"Is that what you think?"

"I don't know. You've been with a lot of girls."

"I have never been with a girl!"

"You've had sex with a lot of girls." I correct myself.

"Are you a virgin?"

"What?"

"Is this what it's about? You're mad because I might be your first but you won't be mine?"

"No! Of course not!"

"Then?"

"Not everything is about sex, Aaron."

"I know."

"So stop assuming that."

"I'm screwing this up. Just tell me what's wrong."

"You can't blame me for thinking I'll just be another one of those girls you flew through."

"You won't be."

"Who's word against yours?" I ask.

He smiles a little.

"No ones."

"So you win by default?"

"It works for me."

I shake my head.

He stares at me for a bit and his eyes soften.

"I care about you. You're not like the others. You won't be. I promise."

"Bad boys are confusing. Maybe this is why I was with the preppy one."

"Hey, remember. I'm gunna be different for you."

"But not too different."

"Hm?"

"I like you for you. I don't want you to change everything about yourself."

"Good to know."

"It looks like there's more stars than ever tonight." I say, looking up.

"It's... Pretty." Aaron says, doing the same.

"It is."

"You're prettier though."

I blush.

"Stop it."

"But it's true." He scoots closer to me.

"To you maybe."

"Remind me never to take you out to a fancy place ever again."

"Why?" I ask, confused.

"Because ever since I picked you up and saw you in that dress, all I've wanted to do it rip it off of you."

"Aaron!"

"It's a compliment!"

"What do I say to that? Thank you?"

"Sure."

I roll my eyes but a smile remains on my face.

"You aren't gunna be ripping clothes off of me anytime soon." I say.

"We'll see."

I raise my eyebrows.

"Just because you said that, there's absolutely no chance."

"I stand my ground." He smirks.

"So what are your limits?" He asks a moment later.

"What do you mean?"

"We can kiss? That's it? No teasing?"

"This is starting to get tiring." I sigh.

"Just asking." He puts his hands up in surrender.

"We can definitely kiss though. Which weirdly enough, we haven't done today."

"Better change that."

Seconds later his lips are on mine and my hands are in his hair.

"This is definitely allowed." I say, before smashing my lips on his again.

"Good." He says.

We kiss for what feels like forever, not that I'm complaining, and when we pull away, I speak.

"I believe you."

"What did I say?"

"That I won't be like the others."

"It's the truth."

I nod.

"You know, I didn't think I'd say this after Luna's, but I'm kinda hungry."

He grins and opens up the basket.

"We have burgers and fries, and dessert. Obviously."

"What is this dessert you speak of?"

"Chocolate cake. Not as good as the Beavertails, but hey."

"Perfect." I smile.

We eat, little by little, and I decide that tonight,

Was the best night of my life.
