{a/n: here it is!! thanks so much for 100 reads, and now we're already half way to 200 what?! sorry for the ridiculous about of time skips in this story, idk I just feel like there's a lot of them :/ also yes I know all the tour dates will not be 500% correct but \_(•~•)_/ }

Josh's POV
"We're twenty one pilots and so are you! We'll see you next time, peace!" Tyler closed. We both waved and walked off stage, the crowd still cheering like there was no tomorrow.

We went back to the dressing rooms and began to gather our things. We were scheduled to leave for North Carolina later tonight, so we had to hurry if we wanted to grab food before the bus leaves.
My thoughts began to wander, the cheers of the crowd echoed in the back of my head, the thousands of screams when I walked on stage, the 'I love you' s that came from every which way, the faces of every single person in that area who had found something in our music. These people waited hours to see two guys, us, Tyler Robert Joseph and Joshua William Dun. Millions of broken people knew our names, our faces, our songs, drum patterns, lyrics, birthdays, siblings, everything. And rarely would we ever get to know their names. I thought about every concert, when everyone sang together; "I wanna be known, by you." All Tyler and I wanted was for the clique to know that we are there, all they want is for us to know that they are there. If I had the chance I would spend the day with every single member, I would find out their names and stories and problems. I would do it in a heartbeat. Th-
"Josh?" Mark waved his hand in front of my face, bringing me out of my head,"What do you want?" he gestured to the menu.
"Oh, um... I'll have uh 2 Mexican pizzas and a Baja Blast,"
"That'll be $32.64," the cashier took the card that was extended to her, I wasn't sure who's it was.
A few minutes later our food arrived. Everyone started to scarf down their food, most of them hadn't eaten since sound check. I scrolled through Instagram, occasionally taking a bite of my Taco Bell. Mae had posted a few pictures of tour on the band account, which were all pretty sick. Man, I really missed her, she's such a nut, but I love her. Wait. Do I? I mean, we haven't seen each other in person of like a month, but I've felt like there's something missing this whole time, either that or I forgot something.
After taking the last bite of my first pizza, my phone buzzed.
Camera Girl📸💕 sent you a Snap
I opened it to find Mae with the flower crown filter and "missing you " in little black letters at the corner of the picture. I couldn't help but smile, I opened my camera to reply. I used the same facial expression and filter as she did, I knew she would get a laugh out of it.
"me too babe, me too,"
Before long we all headed back to the bus. I settled back into my bunk and plugged in my phone. I texted Mae a bit, asked her about the show and vise versa. We still had a solid 2 months before tour was over, and though I loved playing shows, I couldn't wait to get back to Ohio.
"Josh, come play Mario Kart or you're out of the band," Tyler called from the beginning of the bunks.
"Fine, but I choose circuit!"

Tyler, Mark, Adam and I played a few rounds of Mario Kart before Tyler declared himself champion. Shortly afterward, the bus jerked forward a little and we were on our way to North Carolina.

A few hours later, we pulled up to the venue. Tyler and Jenna went sight seeing, I think, and I'm pretty sure everyone else is still asleep. Rain drops splattered across the window. I stepped outside, no jacket and shorts into the rain.

Check yes Juliet,
are you with me?
Rain is pouring down on the sidewalk
I won't go until you come outside

I walked to the curb and sat down.

Check yes Juliet
Kill the limbo
I'll keep throwing rocks at your window
there's no turning back for us tonight

Boyfriend: Where are you?

Cutie w/a camera: Washington you?

Boyfriend: NC is it raining?

Cutie w/a camera: always 😂

Boyfriend: go outside

Cutie w/a camera: 👌🏻

I sat there for a while, the rain drizzled across my exposed arms and legs.

Lace up your shoes
eh oh eh oh
here's how we do

Cutie w/a camera wants to FaceTime.

"Hey," she smiled. The rain there was much softer than here.
"Hey,"  she looked so pretty with raindrops in her hair, I'll have to take note.
"Why'd you want me out here?" She looked around.
"Some cheesy 'we're under the same sky' thing," I answered. Her eyes were closed now, letting the rain drench her face. "You don't mind do you?"
"Not at all, I got my favorite guy, I'm sitting in the rain, I'm in love, it's great. If we're being honest, I was going to come out her anyway, I love rain," she replied, her eyes still closed, I think she was laying on the sidewalk now.

Run baby run
don't ever look back
They'll tear us apart if you give them a chance

"Good, I didn't want to wake you up, it's like 3 over there,"

"I'd come out for rain no matter the hour," her laugh echoed through my phone speaker. She turned away for a fraction of a second and everything seemed like it was in slow motion. Mae looked up at the sky with a smile.
I can't not screenshot her right now, she looks amazing. Click  "Well," she spoke again, bringing everything back to regular speed, "as much as I don't want to leave you or this rain, the boys keep telling me I'm gonna get sick, I should go,"
"Tell'em Ty and I said hi, and that rain is worth getting sick over," the sound of rain hitting the pavement muted my voice a little.
"Will do, I'll talk to you later. Play a good show for me okay?"
"Always,"  I was able to get one more screenshot of Mae blowing me a kiss before hanging up.
Man, this girl's got me good
