That Girl - 5 -

I haven't seen Peyton the past couple of days but she has text me. I did see her the night she came around crying, she wasn't expecting me but I took away some of the grief as she slept in my arms.

We had to be quiet though because her cousins were sleeping in the next room but that didn't bother me one bit because I got my fill of her and let me tell you she was delicious.

The boys at school have noticed the change, the look of a guy that's got it good with a girl. Fuck yeah I do!

I want to take her out on a date but it's a bit hard when your sister is all up in your face trying to know your business and no one knows about what's happening.

Her grandmothers funeral is today so here I am not at school standing beside my parents, Kristy and Blair. It's hard seeing her like this as she hugged her mum to support her. Not once did she shed a tear during the service but what Kristy looked as if Peyton was looking at her, her eyes would shift to me then to someone behind us. She looked as though she was contemplating something until out the corner of my eyes I see Blair turn around then look back

I frown when he shakes his head to me but curiously got the best of me and I turn to see who she was looking at because they were giving her a supportive smile

I was standing beside her, lightly touching and squeezing her hand as she squeezed it back. When the guy came around and started talking to her. I pretended to look away talking to Blair and he gave me a slap on the shoulder

"I haven't seen you in a while, I was planning to come around the other night but you text me you were busy.." The guy trailed off and I got a quick glance to size him up

"That's the guy she use to date but kinda was seeing on the side, she's been trying to get away from him... he was always breaking her heart but she was always going back" I groaned and let go of her hand but I felt her hold onto my shirt as she held her hands behind her back.

I wouldn't move, I knew she needed me so I held my spot

"Yeah, Taylor I'm kind of in a relationship, I've started seeing this guy a few days ago actually" If I could see her, I hoped that she had a smile on her face

"Oh really? Well I hope all goes well for you and him" Taylor had said. I could hear the arrogance in his voice and I felt like turning around and smacking him right in the face for her "Look, just remember no one can make you feel as good as I do" Oh no he fucking didn't. "If things don't work out for you two, you have my number" I bit my tongue and held my place as she tightened her hold on me when I heard a kiss sound not sure where he placed it but I was becoming livid with this guy.

Peyton sighed and pressed her back against mine "Thank you" She whispered "So" She turns around to face our group properly

"So when were you going to tell me you were seeing someone?" Kristy asks when Peyton blushes and shrugs

"Well it's kinda on the D.L so I'll tell you when it's official k?" Kristy huffed and Blair and I couldn't help but laugh

"Anyway can you guys pick me up for tonight?" Peyton smiles "Actually how about we stop at mine, I'll get some clothes and I'll get ready at yours?" Kristy smiles at Peyton's suggestions

"Are you sure?" Peyton gives her a 'are you really?' look and nods her head

"It's fine" Kristy tells her

"I've got to pick up some stuff from my place too" Blair says

"I'll take you" I offer

"Are you sure? I mean you don't have to" Peyton says and I could tell a smile was about to form on her face

"Who knows how long these two will take-" I cut off by my sister and Blair yelling "HEY!" Peyton and I laugh

"That will be cool, what time was everyone coming around? It's only four now" I smile

"Not until later" Kristy says "So you think you are ready to go?" People had slowly begun to leave the hall where the refreshments and food was being served. Peyton nods and we turn to see our parents walking towards us with Peyton's parents

"We will see you guys at home mum?" Kristy says "James is taking Peyton home to grab a change of clothes for tonight"

Peyton's parents both smiled at each of us nodding their heads at her "Have fun kids" They say when my parents looked at us

"What?" Kristy and I say

"You realise you need to set up-" Kristy cuts off my mum smiling at her

"We got it ma!"

Peyton follows beside me, waving to Kristy and Blair "James I - thank you"

I frowned at her and pondered on what she was meaning. I was there for her throughout the past couple of days, I didn't need thanks I was happy to do it.

"With Taylor, you didn't leave... I'm glad you were still standing there, I can never face him alone"

I finally pull up to her place smiling at her grateful expression "You don't mind if I have a quick shower do you?" I shake my head as I follow her into her place. "You could join me if you like?"

My jaw dropped and I nod my head "No one will be home yet" I rush behind her as she enters the shower naked and I couldn't help but move my eyes over her delicious body that hypnotized me as she steps under the warm water

Watching the water cascade down her body, I felt a stir below and watched her bit her lip as her eyes wonder over my body.

As soon as we walk in the door, a sound of laughter and food sizzling on a barbecue. We had been gone about an hour and we had come back with alcohol and soft drinks.

What stunned me more was the fact that all my family was already here. We weren't expecting them for a couple of hours. Even Peyton's parents were here

"Hey son, I saw Hayley at the supermarket and I told her to come around, she's over by the table with Kristy... oh Becca is here too" Fucking great mum!

"Why would you do that?" I ask her. My mum shrugs her shoulders

"She told me to wish you a happy birthday and then I invited her"

Peyton walks out dressed in a maroon dress, she looked amazing with those sexy legs and heels. Her hair was done up into a ponytail and she looked amazing. She smiles but sees Kristy stomping over and frowns then turning to me

"What took you guys so long?"

I held up the bags in my hands "I told Hayley she should go home before I smack her in the face, she told me it would be rude to deny mum but I said make an excuse or I beat your head in, in front of everyone... Becca here offered to help" Becca had her hands on her hips, looking me up and down as if she knew my secret then I pulled her in for a hug

"She'll do anything to stay" Luke walks over and hands me a drink "I plan to get shitfaced now"

"So where's your new boyfriend?" Luke asks

She looks around and slightly tenses up "Your ex is trying to sink her teeth in to him now... my poor baby looks scared,  I'll be back" Luke and I look at each other and laugh

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" Everyone yells out as I lift my glass and skull it back

Poor peyton! I wonder what Hayley will try to pull.
