I walk in to the bedroom, my towel wrapped around me. I dry myself off and I quickly get myself dressed. I sit in the mirror and I stare at my reflection. I grabbed a hair band and put it in a messy bun. I grabbed my running shoes then I walked in to Jett & Eli's room. I went in their wardrobes and pulled out track suits, a top and a pair of running shoes and carried it all downstairs, I left them on the sofa and then walked in to the kitchen. Alec was due back any moment so I decided to make a bowl of all bran cereal. I made another bowl for Alec and placed it on the side, I poured myself and Alec a glass of orange juice then sat at the table and began eating. The door opened and my boys all walked in. "Hi mom!" They both say smiling. "Hey guys, did you have a good time at Nana's?" I ask. "Yeah it was fun." Eli says smiling. "Your clothes are in the living room." I say smiling at them. They both kiss my cheek and they give me a hug then they excitedly run in to the living room. "Your breakfast is on the side." I say smiling at Alec. "Thanks babe." Alec winks. "It's okay." I say sipping my orange juice. "I was thinking we start from here and jog to the pack house. Since Eli wants try and shift I thought it'd be best if he tries there." Alec says. "Sounds like a plan." I say standing up. The boys walked in to the kitchen wearing their full running kit. "Ready?" I ask. "Ready." They both say. "Ready Eli?" Alec asks. "Ready." He beams.

We had arrived at the pack house after doing 15 minutes of jogging. Alec gave the boys a bottle of water each. "You boys both did great. I didn't realise you've been training Jett." He says sitting on the grass opposite them. "I haven't properly. Me and River have just been running together." Jett says. I opened my bottle of water and took three large gulps before I sat down beside Alec. "That's good. Okay Eli you're up." Alec says ruffling his hair. "Okay daddy." Eli smiles. Jett sits beside me. "You okay mommy?" He asks laying his head on my lap. I massage his shoulders softly. "Yeah hun, how did you find the run?" I ask. "I'm tired." He yawns. "Daddy was right, you are getting lazy." I say. Jett giggles. "I'm not mommy." He smiles. "Lazy." I whisper. He nudges me. I stop massaging his shoulders and both our attentions turn to Eli and Alec. "Okay bud, I'm going to need you to close your eyes and relax for a moment." Alec says. Eli looks at me nervously, I give him a reassuring smile and he looks back at Alec. He closes his eyes tight and then he relaxes. "Now Eli. I want you to focus on your inner wolf. The thing you feel inside of you. Now imagine it breaking free. Let it Eli." Alec says. Eli stands there his eyes closed, he opens them, he looks in to Alec's eyes. "It's not working daddy." He says sadly. Alec rubs the back of his neck. "Come on Eli you can do it. Just think of all the fun we can have. All the training we can do. Runs." Jett calls from beside me. I smile. "You can do it Eli." I say smiling. Eli smiles and closes his eyes again, I could see his mouth moving but I had no clue what he was saying. His cracking bones forced me to close my eyes my heart ached as he screamed and cried in pain. The last crack pushed me to my feet, my eyes wide open. "Alec stop him!" I shout. "No babe, he's doing it. Just back off a minute." He smiles. He shook uncontrollably. "It's no time to smile Alec. Can't you hear him! He's hurting!" I shout. "Of course I can hear him Olivia. But I can't help him. It's better for him if he shifts now." Alec says. Jett squeezes my hand and we stand there. His screams died down 10 minutes after. "Wow." Me and Jett both say in sync. Eli wasn't there anymore instead a dark brown pup with light brown streaks of fur, his muzzle was completely dark brown, almost black, he was a fluffy wolf pup. Eli looked up at us and then he looked down at his paws. "He doesn't know what he should do." Jett says looking at Eli. "Okay." Alec says, he then shifts in to his large black wolf. Jett follows shifting in to his black wolf pup and then there was me. I shifted with ease in to my brown wolf. "Okay nod if you can hear us Eli." Jett says through mind link Eli nods. Jett walks over to him and nudges him. Eli takes off sprinting through the forest, we follow close behind him. "I did it!" He shouts pouncing around happily, he turns to face us. "You sure did." Alec nods proudly. He walks over to us rubbing his head in to our fur, I give him a quick lick. "I'm proud of you Eli." I say. "So am I." Jett says. "Right let's finish this run and then you boys can shift back." Alec says. They nod their heads. "Let's go. Lead the way babe." Alec says. I nudge Eli and we begin pacing side by side. I hear the light pattering followed by heavy ones I knew they were Jett and Alec's. I looked down at Eli he was pacing with such ease, like a duck to water. "Are you okay sweetie?" I ask him. "I'm fine mommy." He pants. My heart flutters. I look over my shoulder, Jett and Alec were both running behind us. They were a few feet behind us, it was as if they were scouting. "Eli I'm really proud of you." I say out of nowhere. Eli freezes, he turns to face me. "I love you mommy." He says nuzzling me. I nuzzled him back. "No breaks Eli!" Jett calls running past us, Alec runs around us. "I'm coming." Eli calls. He begins pacing, I ran beside him. "You don't need to push yourself son. If you feel tired let us know." Alec says. "I'm fine daddy." Eli calls. Alec backs up so he was beside me. Eli catches up to Jett. "This is nice." Alec says. I look ahead at both my boys they paced side by side. "Dad there's a field with some pups can we play!?" Jett shouts. "Not for long. We've got to get back." Alec says. The boys play with the pups on the field. There was a tree nearby. I laid under it the boys were in clear sight. I feel Alec's presence and he lays beside me, he nuzzles under my head, I lift my head up, Alec lays his head on my paws and I lay my head on his. Jett and Eli playfully fight with each other, They playfully pounce on each other. "We should do this more often." Alec says. The boys ears poke up and they run over to us. "We should" Jett says. "Yeah it'll be fun!" Eli says. They both playfully pounce on Alec, he rolls around while they boys jump on him. He cries out in a fake whimper. "Alright boys that's enough. We both know your father is getting old." I say. The boys snicker and they back off. "We better get going. Boys lead the way." Alec says. The boys take off and Alec and I pace behind them. He playfully nudges me. I nudge him back. We run beside each other until we got back to the house. We quickly shifted and changed back in to our clothes. "Alec I brought your car." Sylvester says handing him the keys. "Thanks a bunch Sylvester. How are you going to get back?" Alec asks. "There's a taxi outside." Sylvester smiles. "Okay. Thanks for that." Alec says. They shake hands and we climb in to the car, Alec straps the boys in and he gets in the front. "Shall I drop you to your moms now?" Alec asks. "Sure. I've got some clean clothes at my moms. I'll have a shower there." I say. "Alright do you want me to come and get you?" Alec asks. "It's okay. You've got the kids. I'll get my dad to drop us back." I say kissing his cheek as he stops at a red light. I look over at the boys. Eli was fast asleep "Guess he was exhausted." Alec says. I smile. "He done well." Jett says yawning. "You can go home and get some sleep honey. You must be tired too." I say. He shakes his head. "I'm okay mom." Jett says smiling. "You sure?" Alec asks starting to drive. "I'm sure. If I sleep now I won't sleep at bed time." He chuckles. I smile at him and he smiles back. His face had changed, his cheeks weren't chubby anymore, he had gotten thiner his dimples had deepened. His hair had grown out on the top, he needed a hair cut. "Jett you need a haircut." I say. His cheeks flush. "I know." He says. His eyes sparkle like gems it takes me back to the day he was born. I smile, Alec pulls the car in to my moms drive. "I'll see you later." Alec says kissing me. "Love you." I say smiling. "I love you too." Alec says. "Son I'll see you later have fun." Alec says ruffling his hair. "See ya dad." Jett says jumping out the car. "Tell Eli I said he did great today." Jett smiles. Alec smiles and Jett walks in to my moms. "God I love that kid." Alec says smiling. "And he loves you." I say. We kiss again and I climb out the car. "I'll call you in an hour." I say as I climb out. "I'll give you a call once I've settled the monsters." He smiles I smile back at him as I close the door. "Have fun." He says. "You too." I say waving him off. I walk into my moms house. "Hi guys." I say smiling. My dad, Grandpa and Nanna were sitting in the living room. "Hey liv." They say smiling. "Where's mom?" I ask. "In the kitchen making Jett a juice." My dad says smiling. "So how was the run?" My grandpa asks. "Eli shifted and he lasted the whole run." I say smiling proudly. "That's amazing Liv." My grandpa smiles. "He must of been exhausted." My dad says. "He was fast asleep when I got out the car." I say. "I'm going to shower so we can get going." I say kissing my nanna's cheek. I run up the stairs and I grab a towel from the rack, I walk in to the bathroom and I quickly jump in shower. I wash my skin and I climb out, I leave the shower running and I open the door. Jett was on the other side holding a towel I smiled and he walked in closing the door behind him. I walk over to the storage cupboard and I pull out a denim all in one. Folded neatly was Jett's clothes, I grabbed a pair of his jeans and his white polo shirt, I grabbed him a pair of clean pants and a vest I put them on the bed and then I walk in to the guest room and get dressed. I put on a pair of sandals and I walked out the bedroom. Jett was closing the bedroom door. "I feel so much cleaner." Jett smiles. "So do I." I say. We walk downstairs and he disappears in to the closet to look for a pair of shoes. "You guys ready?" My grandpa asks. I smile and I nod. He smiles and he stands up nanna stands up and she walks in to the kitchen. "Better not forget the basket." My nanna says smiling. "The blanket is in the back of the car. Jett have you found shoes yet?" My grandpa asks. "Yeah pops." Jett says walking in to the living room. "Seeya mom, dad." I say smiling. "Have fun." My mom calls as we leave. My grandpa's car was parked outside. Jett and I climbed in to the back of the car while my nan and grandpa got in the front. He started the engine and began driving to the park.
