California. The state with lots of coconut trees and beaches. The state of my dreams, now the state that houses my worst nightmare. A broken home. I look out the window to the streets that pass by as we drive along on the tarred road. The ocean is spread out on my left and the beach dotted with several coconut trees. The waves constantly lapping the shore. I smiled at the sight. So amazing I feel I can forget my problems.

Oh how I wish.

The truth is, yes, I do find the sight amazing. but it doesn't make me forget my troubles. And now there's Theo. What did that kiss mean to both of us? Does it mean we're dating? Does he like me? Or it is just I one time thing? These questions keep flooding my mind I swear I'll go mad if they're not answered. I zone out throughout the drive, staring at th ocean as if it will bring me answers. I look at the guitar leaning next to me on the seat. Theo. I promise I'll come back to you one day. I glance one more time at the lit up beach. folks are already getting ready for bed. Teenagers walk along the waves hand in hand. I hope that kiss meant a lot to Theo like it did to me.

That one kiss.
