"Abigail why?" Gage said storming into the room. "I just I-" Abigail stutters, Gage shakes his head and comes over giving her a hug, I motion everyone to get of the room so they would have their time together. Alone. When I walked out I saw Sam, Mason and Caleb standing next to the coffee machine, grabbing 3 cups each. Hey I said walking over, "hey Tatiana," Caleb grinned, "So your arcade gaming night didn't at all be fun right?" I smiled, "No because Sam over here had to drag us in on the Gage situation" Mason laughed, "well I guess it's your fault that you're friends with me." Sam smirked.
The guys all looked at each other, "Tatiana can you please hold these" Mason says giving my the three cups of coffee. "uh okay" I said, "and hold these too" Caleb said handing me another 3, "guys" I shouted, "looks like you're in quite a problem right now."Abril laughs grabbing a hold of two. "Cacey, Caitlin!" I yelled, "alright alright" they said finally walking over, "gee thanks for being the best of friends anyone can ask for" I said, please note the sarcasm. They giggled as we try and figure out which coffee was which, "I've got yours Tatiana" Caitlin says, "oh thanks" I said grabbing mine swapping it with one of my cups, "Mason I've got-" "I'm going to push you into that garbage can!" Mason yelled tackling Sam, who was tackling Caleb, we giggled, "oi stop laughing or you girls will be in Caleb's position" Daniel smirked walking in from behind.
"you're late!" Mason grinned at Daniel, "looks like you boys are having something going on right there" Daniel says looking down a them and pointing. The guys untangled themselves and stood up, "what the hell are you talking about Daniel?" Caleb chucked. "Guys um we should going" Gage said shutting the door quietly behind him, "can we say bye to her?" I asked, "she fell asleep," he said scratching his head, "oh alright" Cacey nodded. We all headed out of the hospital and into our cars. "see you" I said hugging Mason, he smiled and kissed my forehead, Caitlin went and gave Sam a smack on his butt and he did the same to her, I laughed, that was weird but then again cute as hell. Abril kissed Caleb goodbye and Cacey and Daniel, they hugged for a long time. Like a really long time.
I waved to the other guys and Gage, hopping into the car and driving off. "I hope Abigail doesn't die on us, literally" Cacey said, "it all feels so fake, like her diagnosed with cancer" I said, "yea I know right, it only happens in books not in real life" Abril murmurs. "I guess we're just unlucky and hope for the best" I said turning up the radio in the car. We sat in silence listening to the radio, I think we were all too shocked because the whole ride was silent, no one spoke, all we were trying to do was to try and comprehend what we just witnessed, you know Abigail in that hospital bed, knowing that it could've been any of us, but god, fate whatever decided it to be on Abigail, the most gleeful of us all, it had to be her.
But what really confused me was Gage, he never acted that way towards anyone, not even when he was dating Brittany. I just think he was truly a good person and that he had finally fallen in love with someone he actually liked, but the person he fell for, was falling herself and thinking of that made me want to cry, to burst out and say 'why', like why did it have to be her. Why.
"see you guys, I'll text you tonight" Abril says shutting the car door, we all waved and said our goodbyes, now Caitlin's house, I drive along the way too familiar road and into the front of her house, "see you Caitlin"I smiled, "bye, and thankyou" she smiled, I nodded and Cacey waved, the car door opened again and Cacey decided to move up and sit next to me. "hey" I said, "hi, I guess we're the last ones" she said, "I guess so, but can you believe it. Abigail diagnosed with cancer, like how. She'd better not being smoking,", "I don't think her parents would let her, like come on. You know her mum right, strict as hell" Cacey said picking her nails, "and you could smell the smoke from a mile away and it lingers on your mouth for a long time so if she were going to get caught it would be too easy."
We then again sat there in silence, Cacey looking out the window, and me I was looking out at the road, until I drove up to her house, "alright see you tomorrow at school" I smiled, "yep, and thanks" she said shutting the door and grabbing her bag from the boot. I waved and drove off, now to my house, man it had been a long day, I was overly tired and to be honest I think I'm sleep deprived. I still hadn't studied for anything yet and exams started in 2 days time, time of stress. I finally pull up into my house opening the door, welcomed in with silence and emptiness.
I took a quick shower and walked out to the kitchen to find something good to nibble on while studying. The door bell rings and I groaned walking to it, opening the door Mason stood there with his hands on his back, "mason what are you doing here?" I asked smiling, "you know since it's our 1 month anniversary, I felt like I should get you something." he smirked handing over a box wrapped neatly.
"oh my god Mason, thankyou so much, that reminds me I've got a little something for you as well." I smiled guiding him in and shutting the door. "follow me" I said walking over to my room. "close your eyes," I said going under my bed to pull out two things, a scrapbook with the photos we've already taken and a pair of shoes, that I got costumed with the help of my fashionista aunt over in America. "open" I said, holding out the two wrapped presents, "you did not" he said, I nodded and we sat down with the presents on our laps, "open yours first" he said looking over at me, I nodded and started unwrapping it, oh my lord, "thankyou!" I squealed hugging him, he hugs back and chuckled "I knew you would love it" He smirked, it was a pair of shoes. The ones I was yearning for at the store when I went shopping with him, "I can't believe you remembered!" I shrieked, "of course I did" he winked, I move the shoes to the side and saw that there was one more thing left, it felt like a piece of clothing, I pull it up seeing it as a beautiful sundress, I looked at it in amazement, this was the one and only, "I love it!", "how'd you know this?" I said, "I have 2 older sisters who are both studying fashion" he winked.
"open yours!" I said, he chuckled and started ripping off the paper, "shit you got me these" he said holding up the shoes, "oh my god and my name, you got my name! YOU GOT IT COSTUMED!" He yelled bringing me into a hug, and kissing my cheek, I'm glad he liked it, I really am glad."and this is, aw how cute" he said opening the album, he held it to his heart and looked at me. "I'm glad you loved it" I giggled, he didn't say anything, he didn't reply or move but looked right into my eyes, his stare was strong but this time his eyes weren't grey they were bright with green piercing right into my old plain brow eyes, then.. he grabbed my cheek and pulled me in, his lips sliding against mine, my eyes opened in shock, is he? explosions ignited right in the pit of my stomach, my breathing hitched, Mason realised and smiled. I pulled out of the kiss, breathing heavily, not knowing that we were holding onto our breaths. "god do I love you" Mason chuckled throwing me onto the bed and tickling the living daylights out of me. God did I love you too.
