duchess of dawn,

in jovial design,

suffice so a laugh,
or dendrites be driven,
splitting in half?
if scepters be charmed
and vestibules warmed
should halfwits be warned
and tocsins alarmed?
now, plenty creating
an echoing knell,
this halfwit be waiting,
wishing on wells.— A. P.
