Rich Love (5SOS - Luke Hemmings)

Chapter 4- Luke's Rules

"What if you're the reason of my tears?" i randomly asked

"Still. Don't leave. Kick me in the crotch if you'd like but, i'll always be there for you. That's how much you mean to me" he explains and purposely whispered the last part. 

My heart it thumping loudly in my chest. My stomach is full of butterflies, and my mind won''t function. No one has ever said those things to me. Luke arrives at our class and the teacher was already there. Everyone looked at our direction. He walks over to our place and sets me down to my chair

"Sorry we're late. I had her knee checked up in the nurse's office" Luke tries to lie 

"Okay mr. Hemmings. Please sit down and i'm going to discuss our upcoming group project." the teacher explains and started to talk.

~Lunch Time~

In Music class, i get to be partners with Calum, Ashton was with Michael, and Luke is with some girl named Malikoa. Other than that, Science and History was just a boring subject. 

Me and Kayla sat back to our normal table with my lasagna that i bought from the cafeteria. 

"Did you know?! Our class is going to a trip to England in two weeks?!" Kayla squeals.

"Why? Haven't you been there?" i asked. This girl is rich. How could she not travel around the globe

"Nope. They say it rains a lot there and my family hates the rain so, we spend our summer going to tropical places such as Hawaii." she explained

We continued to talk until i saw Calum, Ashton, and Michael enter the cafeteria without Luke. Ashton points at my direction and all three of them sat with us. Kayla froze on her spot knowing that Ashton was right beside her. Calum sits on my left side in his trench coat while Michael was right in front of him.

"Hey" i greeted

"How's your knee?" Calum asks sincerely.

"Thankfully, it's getting better" i replied while i rub my my freezing hands together to at least make it warm.

Is the heater broken?

Before Calum could take a bite from his food, he asked me, "Are you cold?"

"Just the hands" i smiled at him and continued to rub them together

"I'll help you make them warm" he replied and pulled his right hand from the pocket of his coat and took my left hand and put it back again. His hand feels so warm

"How are you going to eat?" 

"I'll use my left" he smiled sweetly and took a bite. 

My heart melted with the kind thing he does to me. I stared at him for a few more seconds to make sure that he wasn't uncomfortable using his left to pick up food from his plate then, i started eating too. Inside Calum's pocket, our hands were securely locked together. The warmth of his hand is spreading through mine. He was also rubbing circles in my knuckles which is very relaxing. None of them knew what was happening since because we were all laughing because of a joke Ashton said. 

But then, Luke also entered the same room as us and spotted all of us. His eyes were shifting from mine to Calum. I know that he's starting to feel annoyed. He walked up to us without seeing my and Calum's hand. He sat in my right side with his food and i can feel Calum staring at us. 

"Hey babe" Luke blurts out and kissed my cheeks that are now burning

Once those words came out of Luke's mouth, Michael, Kayla, and Ashton gasped while i heard Calum sigh. He stopped drawing circles in my knuckles and quietly pulled our hands out of his pocket. I looked at him and he has pain in his eyes. He slowly put my left hand back to the side of my thigh. He let's go of it and i felt my hand suddenly felt cold again. I also sighed in frustration ans quietly ate my own lunch.

~Calum's House~

Yup! I'm at Calum's house. We decided to meet after school so we can start and finish early the project for music class. Our project is to compose a song about a girl torn between two boys. 

Lovely.

I knocked on the massive door and Calum answered and i entered his house. He led me to the living room, and there i saw Michael, Ashton, the girl who probably is Malikoa, and of course, Luke Hemmings

How wonderful...

(Luke's P.O.V.)

Calum walks back to the living room with his partner, Madison. He face was priceless when she saw my face. Calum took her hand and pulled her to the empty couch right across me and Mali's place.

"Hello! You must be Madison! I'm Malikoa. Malikoa Hood. Calum's sister" Mali stands up from her chair and shook hand with Madison

"I'm Madison. The new girl" she giggles and returned back to her seat, "so, what's your topic?" she asked

"It's about a boy who accidentally fell in love with the girl that hates him" Malikoa explains

Ouch!

They talked for a few more bit and we all started working. Ashton and Michael was fighting because they're all too lazy to write while Madison was laughing with Calum. They are actually enjoying each other's company without me which is very painful

"Hey." Malikoa snaps her finger right in front of my eyes to wake me up from my trance, "so? Are you jealous of my brother?"

"What? No." i denied

"Don't lie to me, Luke. I see the way you look at her. I am positively sure that you are burning with jealousy right now" she argues back

I sighed. She's right. I am jealous knowing that Calum can make her happier that me

"How did you know?" 

"I can see it." she pats my shoulder, "it's all in your eyes. You've fallen for her, hard"

I guess i am.
