chapter 5

"Jihyeon...you have dark circles around your eyes," WooHee points out the dark circles that were below jihyeon's eyes. Jihyeon nods weakly, setting her cup of coffee onto the saucer. "Hey, are you alright? " woohee asked, her face softening.

"Yea.... I'm alright. Just stressed about the upcoming exams and gym exam. " jihyeon replies with a smile, telling them that she's fine.

But she knows she's not. How can she tell her friends that there is a fictional character living in her house who wakes her up at 3:45 am everyday to make him breakfast, buy him supplies and pamper him until he's satisfied? Because he's such a brat , jihyeon has been getting insufficient Time to sleep and study. She also has been getting skinner; not in a healthy way but in a way where you don't eat a lot. All because wonwoo steals all the food, even the unhealthiest food.

"Well, you don't look alright to me." Chaejin says, looking up at jihyeon.

Yes because wonwoo is torturing me and I need help.

"Oh chaejin, I'm alright. Seriously. " jihyeon fakes a laugh, picking up her cup to take another careful sip of her warm coffee.

I'm not alright.

Jihyeon returns home with two bubble teas in her hand. And none of them were meant for her. Those two bubble tea were meant for wonwoo to drink.

Jihyeon placed the extra one into the fridge and brought the other up stairs where she expected wonwoo to be there. And there he was, reading a new book that he had taken off from jihyeon's shelf.

This time, he wasn't reading any of her cliche romance books or any of the books that were supposed to boost your self esteem up. Instead, he was reading a horror book with a cover that still made jihyeon avoid looking at.

"My bubble tea." Wonwoo holds out his hand, waiting for jihyeon to pass the drink over to him. Once she did, she dropped herself onto the bed, not caring that wonwoo would totally kick her out of the bed.

"Yah, get out."

"Wonwoo. Could you at least let me sleep for a while in here? I'm really exhausted and I need some shut eye. So do me a favour and not kick me out. Now, I'm going to sleep. Wake me up at 5pm. " and in a minute, jihyeon is already asleep, snoring loudly.

Wonwoo raised his leg, about to kick her off the bed when jihyeon turns over to the left, facing wonwoo.

Wonwoo studied her face carefully, hoping the girl wouldn't wake up. He noticed how her skin was much whiter and fairer than his and he noticed the small beauty mark just below her left eye.

His eyes wandered all over her face, studying every little feature. The next thing he noticed were the slightly dark eyebags under her eyes.

Poor girl. Wonwoo thought. Whenever jihyeon comes back from school, wonwoo would hear a loud long sigh from jihyeon and then a loud thud on the floor that jihyeon made when she dropped her bag onto the ground.

Wonwoo thought that she was tired because of all the classes she has to attend, the after school club she has to go to, the tiring tests she had to study for , gym classes that begins early in the morning and the huge mountain of homework she has to do.

But what wonwoo didn't know was that he had added much more stress into her life and jihyeon was about to breakdown.

It was all OK until he arrived.

Wonwoo sighed, pulling up the blanket to cover jihyeon's body. "Fine. I'll let you sleep. But youre waking up 30 minutes early to bring me out for burgers. " and wonwoo went back to reading the book he had in his hands, not noticing the side of jihyeon's lips curling up.

Day 1 of gym exam

All the second year students gathered at the school netball court in their gym attire, chatting noisily as they waited for the gym teachers to arrive to tell them which station they are assigned to go to.

While most of the students were chatting or stretching, jihyeon was sleeping on WooHee's shoulder, telling them to wake her up once the gym teachers arrived.

" whats happening to her? " chaejin asked woohee who was caressing jihyeon's hair.

" I don't know. She's been sleeping in class and surprisingly, the teachers didn't catch her. " woohee replied with a shrug.

Before chaejin could reply with more questions, the sound of a loud whistle was heard, capturing all the students attention immediately.

"BULTEOREUNE! " jihyeon screamed suddenly as she bolted up from her slumber. Woohee almost fell backwards and chaejin had a mini heart attack from that.

"Are you wide awake Now? " chaejin asked, glaring at jihyeon for scaring the living daylights out of her.

"Yea."

"Students! Can I get your attention please. Your gym test is about to start. 2 A and 2 B , report to the pull up station! 2 C and 2 F , report to the sit up station! 2E and 2D , report to the short distance run station! Lastly , please report to Mr Jung to take your gym test paper. It is for you to record your results and what stations you've already done! All the best!"

And with that, the students made their way to the appointed stations with the slip of papers in their hands.

Jihyeon groans, trying to get her butt off the ground. But no matter how much she tried, she couldn't pull herself up. It was either she had no strength or she was to lazy yo pull herself up.

Great. She's so going to fail her gym exam.
