"But first, Hiccup..." Mala pulled out her sword. "I'm going to kill you myself." The gang stood in shock and fear as her sword was approaching Hiccup's neck.

"This isn't what you think this is, Mala. Please, believe us. We're saying the truth."

"Silence, Hiccup! You going to die of what you've done, like all of you!" She said angrily, and looked at Hiccup's friends, behind his back.

Hiccup closed his eyes, when the cold metal touched his neck and slowly swallowed saliva, waiting for death. The most beautiful memories went through his eyes.

As he first met Toothless:

"Huh. Toothless. I could've sworn you had..." [Toothless' teeth pop out and he snatches the fish from Hiccup's hand.] "...Teeth"

When Astrid kissed him:

[Astrid grab Hiccup's shirt and kissed his cheek.] "That's for everything else."

The first time, when his father proud of him:

[Stoick taking Hiccup's hand] "I'm proud to call you my son."

But the pain never came. When he opened his eyes, in front of him stood Astrid and dissatisfied Toothless.

"You're not going to kill him, Mala. Only over my dead body." Astrid warned. "Besides that, hurt Hiccup equivalent to hurt his dragon." Toothless growled at Mala and she let down the sword.

"Astrid, what are you doing?" Hiccup whispered.

"You save me, I save you." She looked at him over her shoulder, smiled slightly. A moment later, Astrid spoke again. "Dragons are our friends, more than friends. They're like brothers and sisters to us. We do not force them to do things they don't want, we do not torture them and we do not kill dragons." Astrid smiled when she heard a familiar roar. All of them turned around and saw their dragons preparing to attack. "They protect us and we protect them. That's how it works."

"With that what happened here, we don't have anything in common. Viggo isn't our friend; he is our enemy, dragons' enemy. And we are going to do everything to stop him, with or without your help." Astrid firmly finished her little speech and put her hand on Toothless head to reassure him that there is no dangerous.

"Fine, let's say I've believed you. Release them!" Mala said coldly and looked at Hiccup, who has received the nudge from his dragon.

"So what's now?" The asked. "Are we going back to The Edge?"

"No, we will help them to recover their Great Protector, but first we need a plan how." Hiccup said and went to Mala. Well, all the rest had no choice, just agree with him.

The sun rested and in the sky was left only faint red and yellow color blends. Soon, her brother Moon with his stars sported in her place.

Hiccup and Astrid sat on the ground, enjoying a view of granted nature. Hiccup's hand was on Astrid's waist and her head was placed on his shoulder, rested.

"It's beautiful." She said softly, cuddling closer to him.

"Not as beautiful as you are, M'lady." Hiccup kissed her head and looked at her.

"Today I barely lost you..." She whispered.

"But you didn't... I'm here, right? And I'm not going to leave you." He gently rubbed her back and pressed his lips to her forehead. "I promise."

They sat for a few hours like that, in silence. Listening to the quiet rustle of wind, from time to time flying wild bird songs, listening to whispering trees. They didn't speak, they didn't say a thing, they didn't need to, because the silence spoke more than a simple words.

"Are you tired?" Hiccup asked when he noticed her yawn.

"Just..." Astrid yawned again. "...a little."

"Okay. I'll accompany you to your house where you're staying in, where you could rest." She said nothing just nodded her head.

Now Astrid was lying in a warm bed, only with her shirt and leggings on. Meanwhile, Hiccup was sitting on the edge of the bed, next to her, making sure she was safe and sound. He put his hand on her right cheek and gently pat it.

"Babe?" She placed her hand on his.

"Yes, Milady."

"When will we tell them that we're together?" Hiccup smiled at her and softly kissed her nose.

"Soon, Milady, soon. Now go to sleep, because tomorrow is going to be a difficult day." He kissed her on the lips and stood up.

"Sweet dreams, Astrid." Hiccup whispered and closed the door of the house.
