My fingers played with the curls of my hair as I absentmindedly stared at myself in the mirror. Most parts of my wounds and bruises had been concealed by heavy makeup, hence it was not very obvious.

I just hope that I could control pain if anyone hit against my wounds and bruises. It would definitely look very ugly if I screamed in front of so many people.

Taking off my glasses, I stood upright and held my head high like the wild, untamed Gigi Stalford.

Grabbing my clutch, I began my journey to the Flitchers residence on foot. I let the evening breeze blow past me as I continued walking on my black stilettos.

The board which states, 'Flitchers Residence' was in sight as I made my way past their lawn where couples were already making out.

The music playing inside was slightly audible from outside as I pushed past the slightly ajar door and walked into the busy living room. Music were playing like loud speakers and bodies were grinding against each other.

The whole place smelled like alcohol, my perfect heaven.

"Gigi, I am so glad that you are here." Bella shouted through the loud music as she grabbed me in for a hug. She was the host for this party and a girl who welcomed my presence.

Actually, most people would welcome my presence when they hear of the name, Gigi Stalford. I have been partying for almost two years and was always invited to parties.

No one would have guessed that I was the weak, pathetic Gemini Patterson who often got bullied in school. This was my deepest secret that I held and I hope no one would find out.

"Yes, I am so glad to be here. Thank you for inviting me." I beamed at her as I waved her goodbye and sauntered my way to the kitchen where a man with combed brown hair was busy making different types of cocktails.

Deciding to have a drink, I leaned against the counter as I watched him mixing the drinks. He looked up and smiled when he noticed my presence.

"What do you want to drink, gorgeous?" He asked, his eyes gleaming brightly as he checked me out.

I didn't feel the need to blush, so I just dismissed it as if it was nothing and shrugged. "Anything." I muttered under my breath as my eyes landed on his muscles bulging from his rolled up sleeves when he moved.

The tight shirt hung around his six packs gave it away as I noticed him giving me a smug smile. He must have noticed that I was checking him out as well.

I mean, who doesn't? He was hot among the guys, even though he had to act like a bartender for the rest of the night. It was a shame that he wasn't out there partying with the rest of the girls.

I took the drink from him as I took a sip. The liquid flow down my throat as it slightly burned it before I licked my lips at the taste.

"It tastes amazing." I commented, taking a few more sips as I closed my eyes to feel it. When I opened them once again, I found him leaning against the counter as he smirked at me.

"Glad you like it, gorgeous." He winked, extending a hand for me to shake. I took it politely and smiled back. "The name's Roderick."

I withdrew my hand and let my mind remember his name, Roderick.

"I'm Gigi."
