Sadie is about to be 13 and is put into a situation that means she must live being Jewish for who knows how long! Will she be able to adjust to their rules and regulations?
I will give it to them, they have a very nice home but it's just not what I'm used too! She made me take out my earrings and nose ring earlier! Took all my makeup and gave me dresses and skirts!
"Let's go to your room shall we? Sure why not" I replied.
She led me down a long hallway that had many sets of doors.

"Do you have any other children?" I asked looking at the walls." Yes, I have one son, he's 14. So maybe you two can be friends!" I rolled my eyes at the thought of this but kept my mouth shut.
She opened the second door and put my bags on the floor." You have one hour to get your things in place and come down stairs!" She said stern as possible." Yes ma'am."
Well it wasn't much but it will do I guess. There was a pad on the floor as my bed, a window with a seat and a dresser.

I began to tape my pictures to the wall and make my "bed" then I put my clothes away and finally I decided since I had twenty minutes before I had to be down stairs I would call Alex.
"Hello? Hi Alex, it's Sadie! Oh, hey Sadie what's up? Is everything okay? Uh yeah for sure. Sadie talk to me what's going on? I hate it here! I want to go home with you tomorrow! Please! Okay calm down I will be over tomorrow to talk to you okay? Yeah I guess. Okay now go eat dinner or something. But either way I have to go. Goodbye Sadie. Bye. "
Well that was a waste of time I thought to myself. I walked down stairs, three minutes later than told and as soon as I et off the steps, I hear "Sadie!" Oh crap I thought to myself."Yes? You're late!" This made me laugh because it sounded like something my dance teacher would say so much. But I bit my tongue and said " Sorry, it won't happen again. It best not!" She said making me want to just through her off a cliff.
The next morning I ran down the stairs only to hear "Walk!" Once I got down stairs and Mrs. J. figured out I was wearing jeans she said " Go get changed into a skirt this very instant!!"
Finally she was pleased and Alex came by she said we were going to the wall whatever that means and that I was an amazing child she definitely wanted to keep. Well he bought it gave me a hug kiss on the forehead and said goodbye.

"Let's go we're going to the wall. What's the wall?" I asked." It's where you pray and put your requests."
She meant it too!

I prayed that I could go back to Pennsylvania, even though I know I have a while before that's going to happen again.
