The Runaway Girl//Teen Fiction
//Cassie's POV\\
"What now?" I groaned as I looked up at Tyler "Not sure..." He trailed confused as to what just happened "isn't that your boyfriend?" he asked me "yeah...that's him...Mason" He just nodded. "Is there a problem?" I whispered a little angry at him "yes, yes there is a problem" confused as to what
he was concerned about, I almost asked him but decided to let it slide "you can't just stand there!" he yelled making me jump "Save and get your boyfriend back before that rat takes him back!" What he said was true, if I don't stand up and take action god knows what she would do to get Mason back
and head over heels for her! "Well, he tried to make me jealous..." "Then let's make him jealous!" Tyler said, "How do we do that?" I asked "You know what...this is childish" I sighed "let's just have fun" he nodded as he reached out and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the big orange and blue water
funnel "Trust me it's fun" he smirked. We grabbed our flotation thing and started to make our way up the tall wooden stairs. "NEXT!" the guy yelled as he grabbed the next persons float and set it in the slide. "NEXT!" he yelled a few minutes later informing us that we could step forward. "Tyler..." I trailed
as I became really shaky. "Enjoy your ride" he smiled sending Tyler and I down a dark tube filled with rushing water "Oh. This isn't so bad" I giggled "mhm" he chuckled. Seconds later I saw a little hole with light barely coming through it "Oh no.." I screamed as we went down, my hands holding on for
dear life "THIS IS AWESOME!" Tyler yelled laughing "OH MY GOD!" I giggled as water splashed both our faces. We continued swaying in the water for a few seconds until we finally reached the end of the funnel. "Enjoy your ride? Have a nice day!" the lady at the end spoke and she took our float once we
got off of it "and you were scared" he mocked as he laughed at me "I was not!" I squealed, shoving him playfully. "You know Cassie...I haven't had this much fun in a while" he said changing the subject "We barely got off our first water ride!" he nodded "I know but...I miss being able to talk to you" he
continued "I miss being able to hang out with you.." my stomach churned at his words, I nervously continued to listen until "Well, we can hang out any day!" I said nervously "Yeah I know...but it's just" he then stopped talking to take a breath "Um, you know what...nevermind" he chuckled as he
resumed walking. We spent the day going on rollercoasters and water rides, but it wasn't as fun...it felt awkward and weird. I just didn't feel the same as it did when we got here. Eventually, we met up with Mason and Harley for lunch but that was about it. I didn't see Mason at all that day. It was almost as if
he had disappeared or something. "I'm feeling very tired...wanna head back now?" I asked Tyler, he nodded and with that we headed back to the car and left the park. "Well today was fun" he smiled, looking over at me. My head pressed against the window and my legs on top of the cars dashboard. "
"mhm." I hummed in response "Are you gonna talk to Mason? You seem a little angry" he began to question "No, I don't think so. Especially since he kinda did all of this on purpose" I muttered rudely. "Oh...I'm sorry for what happened today anyway..." he said "Thanks, Tyler. I really appreciate it" I said
smiling at him and continuing our drive back home. Of course, 5 minutes later Mason started texting me things like Today was fun! and I hope we can do it again soon! You know the usual texts you get sent to you after something terrible happens. I hated this so much...too bad for him!
