Erik shrugged his shoulders. "She's like every other mutant we've run into." He said, setting his coat on to the table before sitting down. "Though I do hate to say this, she'll probably make a better addition then the human monkey."

"Hank, Erik." Charles sighed, shaking his head in annoyance at his friends antics. "His name is Hank. And I'd knew you'd like her."

Erik rose a questioning eyebrow at this statement, and he narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "What do you mean by that?" He asked.

Charles just tossed him a smirk in return, pushing himself off of the bed and patting Eriks shoulder before walking into the bathroom. "Nothing in particular." He stated, shutting the door.

"If you know something, I'd appreciate it if you told me." Erik called out, but he only got the sound of the shower being turned on instead. "Stupid Telepath."

"Hey, I heard that!"

"Of course you did!" Erik scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief at Charles selective hearing, and he stood back up.

Shrugging his coat back on, Erik walked towards the door as he stuffed a hand into his pocket and opening the door with the other. As soon as he stepped out of the room, the door shut behind him. He walked back down the hallway to get to the lobby, his head down, but he noticed something.

A faint red glow was emitting from Marian's room, just peaking out from under the door. Raising an eyebrow in question, Erik walked towards her room.

"Marian..." He asked as he rapped his knuckles against the door, but he didn't get a reply, except for the faint sound of some shuffling.

His hand lowered to be door knob, and as he twisted it, he noticed that the door was unlocked. "Didn't even lock the door." Erik mumbled, shaking his head as he slowly opened the door.

Though it wasn't a peaceful entrance. As soon as Erik stepped into the room, he was greeted by a full face of red energy. The door slammed shut behind him as his back made contact with it, and his eyes widened in shock as an invisible force picked him off of the ground by his neck.

Suddenly, almost as if she was punched in the stomach, Marian lurched out of the bed with a loud gasp. Her hands went straight to her head as it pounded painfully, but she was still unaware of the man dangling in the air.

"M-Marian!" Erik managed to gasp out, his hands trying to gasp on to the thing strangling, but nothing was working.

Upon hearing a voice, Marian snapped her head over to the door, and her eyes widened in surprise. She immediately raised her hands, and the red energy disappeared as well as her red eyes. Eriks feet hit the ground with a thud and he tumbled over, coughing as air suddenly refilled his lungs.

"I-I'm sorry." Marian whispered, looking at Erik with wide eyes and she buried her face into her hands. "I didn't know you were in here."

"Next time," Erik pushed himself off of the ground, narrowing his eyes at Marian as he coughed again. "Lock your door."

Marian nodded her head in understanding, and she lifted her head to look at him. "I'm sorry." She told him again, waving her hand again. The red energy flew towards Erik again, making him flinch back, but this time it zoomed past him and towards the door, cracking it open.
