Gary's POV

"Andwae(No way)," Kwangsoo exclaimed. "They can't order us to 'kill' MC. It is part of us, uri Running Man 7012," he added.

My heart felt stabbed, too, although it is not the first time I heard that. Yesterday was way tougher. Stop? The sky has to be on its end first to get us to stop. But deep down all of us know we have to do it, not for the sake of the show but for Ji Hyo. As much as I hated having to lose her and us, MC, to that show, I said nothing. What has been done cannot be undone...

"I do not and will never want to kill MC," Hwan Jin PD said firmly. "But I will fulfill the request for Song Ji Hyo's sake. We will work together to make MC as low key as possible during that show's airing, and slowly rise MC back to the top where they belong after that show has come to an end."

I nodded along with the others. That sounded better than having to give MC up permanently.

"We had asked netizens to submit questions they wish to know the answers to. One of the most asked question is whether MC is real or not."

Haha smirked. "That's no surprise."

Hwanjin PD chuckled lightly. "Definitely not. We'll use this chance to tell them they are just friends, proven by a date complemented by MRI scans."

Haha widened his eyes in surprise. "Seriously, MRI scans?" Then Suk Jin hyung spoke, "But about date...well, that could just convince them that Gary-Ji Hyo is real." Bingo, hyung.

"That can happen, yes, if it is not scripted," replied Hwan Jin PD.

"You mean...you are going to heavily script their part?" Jong Kook hyung asked disbelievingly, which got a nod from PD as a response. Everyone exchanged anxious looks, since we have never done scripted episodes. My eyes looked at Ji Hyo who is sitting across me. She caught my eyes mere seconds later, and I looked away. I just can't...

"Ya...this is going to be difficult," Jae Suk hyung admitted, then continued "But for uri Ji Hyo, let's do this!"

Suk Jin hyung added, "Race~start!" And everyone clapped hands. Even as a man, I couldn't help feeling grateful as well, for having them as no longer just colleagues, but as a family.

Another grateful smile spread across Jihyo's face, like the one she plastered for Haha. "Kamsahabnida, oppadeul... (Thankyou, brothers...)"

"Yesterday, Gary-ssi and Ji Hyo-ssi had already filmed their dating and MRI parts," said Hwanjin PD suddenly. Apparently, nobody was expecting that, as even the Commander looked perplexed.

Kwang Soo broke the silence. "So today we'll be filming for the rest of this episode?" And everyone goes "Oooh" at him when our PD says it's correct.

"Today's episode will be called 'Running Man Q&A'. I had listed the netizens' questions for each of you. You can filter which question you could provide the answer to so that it will be easier later during the filming," he continued as he passed papers to each of us.

I scanned the first page of the questions directed to me. Some of them are the frequently asked ones, some of them I had ever answered. Is the Monday Couple real... What is the meaning behind 'Halyang'... Why I chose 'Gary' as my stage name... Until I read the last question on that page : Does Kang Gary really look like a squid? Unknowingly, I sighed with disbelief.

Haha, who is seated beside me, noticed my sighing. He then took a peek at where my eyes are focusing and laughed wholeheartedly. "Hyung, I can't... believe.... someone... someone actually asked... that question," he said in between laughs.

"Wae(Why)? Wae? Wae?" Jaesuk hyung seemed interested. Kwangsoo came to my place and stealthily took my set of questions. As he laughed, I chuckled and told Haha, "Ya, you look ugly yourself."

"Ah, right. I see many fans asking about your looks too so I have specially invited Kim Jong Kook's brother, Kim Jong Myung-ssi, to be with us today, thinking you might want to pick those questions," said Hwanjin PD.

"Jinjja?" Jong Kook hyung asked, his eyes glinting with happiness. "Woah, daebak(awesome)," Suk Jin hyung commented.

Hwan Jin PD chuckled at their enthusiasm. "Then... si...jak! (Sta~rt!)"

Annyeong, Monday Couple shippers! This is just the first episode, so the MC moments haven't really showed up, especially since this is about Ep.291 onwards. But rest assured, nobody can ever break these two and their moments will slowly appear to please everyone ㅋㅋㅋ
