We hear a door open and close downstairs and I shake my head.

I roll off the bed and stand up to walk to the door and shout "Hello?"

I hear Bradley sigh behind me and walk outside to the staircase "Oh hey dad"

I follow him and look down to see Mr Thomsen standing there "Hi" I say awkwardly.

Don't know what it is about Mr Thomsen but everytime I see him it's kinda awkward and my mind tries to progress something.

Mr Thomsen looks up to us and smiles "Oh hello, what are you guys doing?"

Bradley starts walking downstairs "nothing really. I just came back from baseball practice." he says.

His dad nods and walks to the left hallway, into the kitchen.

B follows him "what are you doing here anyway? You're never home this early" he says.

I walk downstairs as well "yea, what do you work anyway?" I half joke.

Mr Thomsen laughs and picks his bag up "I forgot my stuff. Can't work without my stuff and papers"

I know these kind of bags, almost every person over 30 has them in New York.

Bradley nods "I see" he says and takes a water bottle out of the fridge.

His dad makes a face as Bradley passes him and says "you should probably shower. You're full of dirt"

I giggle "right! That's what I said"

Bradley turns his head to look at me and smiles "okay okay, I'm in the shower if anybody needs me"

He walks pass me and I say"doubtful"

"hey!" he says behind me and I laugh.

Mr Thomsen's eyes look behind me and then at me "I see you guys are getting along a lot"

I nod "I guess so"

He shakes his head a little and starts walking towards the front door. He turns his head to me before walking out "So I'll see you and Bradley at dinner. Holland should be here by lunch."

I walk out to the hallway "Okay, have a good day at work."

Mr Thomsen nods "thank you. Bye" and closes the front door after he walks out.

I notice that the TV is still on and I go to the living room across from this hallway and sit down.

By the time Bradley was finished with showering, I was laying on the floor and watching TV from there.

He walks downstairs and laughs "what are you doing?"

I turn my head to the other side and look up at him "what does it look like? I'm trying all of the different options to watch TV"

He walks pass me and sits down on the couch "you have too much free time"

I sit up "you know, any other time I would agree but not right now uh uh"

Bradley looks at me amused "is that so?"

I nod "yep, I called Mila when you showered and we're going to the movies"

"oh when is she coming to pick us up?"

I go into a meditation pose and close my eyes "in like 20minutes" I open my eyes to look at him "and you're not invited"

He rolls his eyes "oh come on"

I smile and stand up "just kidding, Matt is coming too. He's so excited to have a date with you"

Bradley laughs "he can't be more excited than me"

Laughing, I sit on the couch as well "no but seriously. You do have a gay friend"

Bradley looks away from the TV and at me "Matt's not gay, Maya"

I roll my eyes "of course he's not. Have you seen the way he looks at Violetta?"

He nods "yea, dreamy and all. Pretty sure he's planning the wedding already"

"Same" I giggle "anyways, I'm talking about Rob"

Bradley stops short "Rob? No, he's hetero"

I lean back in the couch "I've been here for almost three weeks now and I met Rob a few times because of the weekly tea parties that your Mom organizes and it seemed pretty obvious to me"

"yea but how?" he asks me.

I look at him "he can tell you about more makeup brands than I can and he always has that dreamy look when he looks at Adam"

"What? You don't even know Adam" Poor B looks so confused.

I stand up "I've been to your baseball game last week and Rob said something about his eyes."

Bradley didn't say anything.

I walk to the stairs and turn around "well, I think it's cute. There's nothing wrong with being gay."

He stands up as well and walks towards me "I know that there's nothing wrong with being gay. I just wish, he would've told me. I know him since fourth grade"

"Maybe he's nervous or unsure. I wouldn't take it personally." I say.

He nods "you're right. I just wait until he's ready to share it"

I smile at him "good. Now grab your stuff because Mila and Matt are going to be here in less than five minutes."
