Chapter 13

My stomach dropped.
How could he know this?
I could barely speak, I was so shocked.

I tried to play it cool...
"What? That's ridiculous" I laughed..

"Stop it!" He said loud.

"Stop what?" I asked him.

He's probably so annoyed of me right now.

"You know exactly what I mean!"

There's no way I can cover this up..

"Fine.. You're right." I said quiet.

"When were you planning to tell me this?" He asked me.

"...I- I don't know"

He just looked at me disappointed.

"How did you find out?" I asked.

"You dropped your pass yesterday"

Shit...Why did I even take it with me?

"Oh.. Bradley look I'm sorry.." I said as I tried to come closer.

He pulled away "don't do that.."

"I'm just really sorry.."

"Why did you lie in the first place?" He asked me as he said down on a little bench next to the door.

I sat next to him "I didn't know anyone when I came here. Your mom kinda seemed like she was following me that day. I didn't know if I can trust her. She was basically a stranger to me."

He nodded "that kinda makes sense... But why didn't you say anything when you got here. I mean you saw that you can trust us"

"I was scared, I guess" I said.

It was silence after that.

"Bradley?" I asked.

"Huh?"

"Can you please keep this to yourself?"

He seemed like saying something but I interrupted him.

"Please.. I wanna tell them myself."

"..okay"

The guests already left and the others helped cleaning up.

Bradley's dad came my way "how did you like the evening?"

"It was nice. Something different for me."

He smiled and I smiled back.

His smile...It kinda reminds me of someone.

"Lily?" Someone shouted.

"Yea?"

"Can you help me over here?" Holland shouted from the other room.

"Sure, I'm on my way"

I was in my room now.

I still can't believe that bradley found out about my name.

I never meant to lie.

I just wanna start over. My life in new york fell apart and this is my new chance.

I got ready for bed and started to fall asleep.

I was walking down the stairs for breakfast and everyone was at the table already.

"Sorry, I slept a little longer" I said.

"No problem, darling. We didn't want to wake you up." Holland said.

I smiled at started eating.

Bradley was sitting next to me. He didn't say anything to me tho.

I guess he's still kinda mad..

Me and Bradley were walking upstairs.

"Hey, are you still mad at me?" I asked him kinda nervous.

He shook his head "I'm just hurt, I guess"

"You guess?"

"I don't know"

He was going the other way now to his room.

"Wait.. What are you doing today?" I asked him.

"I don't know yet, why?" He asked me as he turned around.

"We could hang out if you want" I smiled.

I want us to be okay again.

It seemed like he thought about it for a sec "yea okay"

He gave me a quick smile and went into his room.
