She reminded me of all things bright when all I could picture were grey skies.

"Well, you've managed to prove me wrong. And I couldn't be happier. Say son, how would you like to celebrate this ?"
I watched as people left the room. Some of them leaving curious glances my way. I had managed to convince most of them with my pitch this afternoon. Not all. I guess I'll have to work on it some more. "No sir. I think I'll pass this time."
"You should stop with all these formalities son. I'm your uncle. That title is for all my other employees to address me. Is that clear ?"

"Yes uncle Zac." I smiled.

"But you really did me proud out there Devon. I still remember how you turned yourself around after everything that happened to your parents. You finally got your priorities right. Anyways, I'll take your leave now son. See you tomorrow."

I gave him a nod. I was about to leave the office soon after when suddenly I felt like my body had a mind of its own and I was being drawn to the window. It was calm outside but my mind on the other hand, was nothing but. It was raging with thoughts. Thoughts of her.

"Mr.Brown, you've been in a lot of trouble with all your teachers regarding your behaviour and mostly your grades. This is your last year here. Make it memorable for everyone but for the right reasons ."
The principal had more to say but I was hardly paying him any attention. All I could think of was the prank I had to pull on Robby before the school bell rings. Suddenly I was snapped out of my thoughts when there was a knock on the door and someone walked in. "I've assigned you a tutor to make sure you don't fail in any classes. Meet Ms. June Rivers."
