11• Time To Catch Up

Lucy POV
After my some what 'emotional' reunion with my parents I was up the stairs to my old room. It was on the third floor but we really need a lift or something these damn stairs are bloody annoying! Anyway as I came up to the over the top sized door that led to my room, I saw they had changed pretty much nothing. Wow.
I placed my hand around the gold patterned door handle and twisted it to reveal the untouched bedroom of mine.
Random drawings where framed on the walls and I could see my sketchbooks stacked up on my white desk. 8 to be exact. As I walked over to the desk dodging various clothes and things on the floor, as I came to my desk I pulled the matching chair out and sat on it. I sighed and reached out for my most recent sketch book. I pulled open one of the draws and rummaged through the papers and pens until I found my pencils. I found my rubber and opened the dusty sketchbook. As I opened the book I flicked through the pictures I had drawn just around a year ago (when I last visited, after I had joined Fairy Tail) as I got to the last picture I saw the drawing of Natsu I did when I realised I had liked him more than a friend.
I decided to finish it. It took around 20 minutes, afterwards I let out a big breath and sighed.
"Why did I fall in love with a god damn asshole" I whispered quietly.

"Who's the asshole?" I heard a voice say from my door. I turn around to see her. My best friend. My sister. Kara.
"KARA!!!!" I yell as I tackle her into a hug, that was until she started telling me to stop because she couldn't breath.
" oops sorry" I say sheepishly.
"It's ok, I've missed you so much Lu!"
"Same here! It's been forever since I last saw you! You haven't gone through my things have you?!" I say worried she would have found my journal.
"Nope, everything's just how ya left it!"
"Ok good" I reply, as we go to sit down on my bed.
"Sooooooo...... Who's the asshole?"
She asks again, man she is impatient!
"Well it's the guy I met at the guild, ya know the guy I told you about?"
"Ohhhh the dragon dude?" She asks, I just nod in reply. I lean back and collapse onto my bed.
"Oh god what did he do? I swear I'll kill him if he hurt you!!" Kara says in a deadly tone
"Not even you could defeat him Kara"
"You could....." She mumbled but I heard.
" Kara I told you mum and dad won't let me use it until I've trained myself to control it, because if i don't you'll have a dead Lucy as a sister" I laugh at the last part. As I prop myself up on my elbow.
"Well I overheard dad saying it was time you trained and mum agreed!" Kara said rather excitedly, man did she want me to do this.
"I'll ask about it tonight ok?"
"YES!!" She screamed making me laugh at how childish she is, Kara may only be 3 years younger than me but boy can she scream.

•~•Time Skip•~•
It was 6:30 when mum called me and Kara down for dinner, we had been catching up and talking about the stuff sisters talk about.
As we descended down the stairs, I burst into laughter after Kara's Terrible joke. Soon after she was also in a fit of laughter.
I clutched my stomach as all this laughing began to hurt,
"You alright there girls?" Mum asked laughing to herself,
"Yep" we both said synchronised, this just caused us to laugh more. After about 5 minutes later we had calmed down and sat in our seats at the dining table.

As we ate the delicious food mum and dad had cooked we talked about anything and everything. But when the conversation died down I decided it was time.
I glanced over to Kara who just nodded and gave a reassuring smile.
"Mum, dad?" I asked breaking the silence
"Yes dear?" Mum replied, as dad looked up paying attention.
"Umm well I was wondering.... Err well when i could err..." I stuttered, nervous and unsure on what to say.
" let me guess you want to know when you can start training?" Dad spoke up, smiling and looking at me quizzically.
" Yeah" I let out a sigh of relief.
" well we were going to ask if you wanted to start tomorrow!" Mum chimed in. Dad just nodded in agreement.
" oh my god!! Seriously?! Thank you! I can't wait!" I reply happy as ever. I look over at Kara and her eyes shine with happiness,
She had always said that after I trained we could fight together and beat anything.
As we finished dinner we headed to bed. Kara asked if she could sleep in my room and well I said yes I mean we're sisters! And she promised me she'd make me breakfast tomorrow!

•Oooooo A magical Time Skip•
~•~Morning~•~
{•~Still Lucy POV~•}
GOD DAMN YOU SUN!!! Was my immediate thought as I woke up. I rolled over and noticed Kara had already got up, and to confirm my suspicion I smelt the pancakes....and I mean THE pancakes, I swear to god the pancakes she makes are the best with the syrup and the cream and sprinkles an- I should stop.

I swing my legs over the side of the bed but me being clumsy i managed to swing them over with too much force and I fell off my bed (A/N personal experience) I rubbed my sore head and opened my door, I slowly walked down the stairs yawning as I sat at the table.
"Well good morning sleeping beauty" Kara said with a laugh
"And may I say your looking extra nice for a beast" I counter as she laughs and turns back to breakfast.
•TIIOOOMMM SKUUP•
As we finished up breakfast I retreated to my room to change. As I walked in I found my mum putting out clothes.
"Oh hi Lucy!" She says cheerfully
"Hey-" I say dragging out the y,
"These are some clothes for you dear, be downstairs and ready in 20 minutes you have so much to do!" My mum says and she walks out and down the stairs.
"Right" I say to myself as I change into my new black jeans, white t-shirt and black boots. After changing I run to the bathroom to do my teeth and put my hair up in a high pony tail.

Dad led me out to the woods to a clearing, fresh grass all around. As he whistles a beautiful dragon lands on his shoulder, I stare in awe of what I just saw.
"This is Sebastian" he says while scratching the dragon under his neck.
"He's so handsome!" I say
"Why thank you! I can say your rather nice yourself" I stumble back as I hear this
"Did he ... Did he just.. WHAT?!" I say now quite shocked.
"Oh my Lucy, see here in the dragon realm we have dragons instead of exceeds, they stay by your side no matter what. Like a child I guess" dad says calmly as I regain my posture.
" oh nice " I say sheepishly
" well let's teach you how to get yours!" He replies
"Wait your serious?!" All I get is a nod and I feel my self smiling like a mad person.

(A/N I don't wanna go into so much detail about the training to get Lucy's dragon sorry!)
After almost 6 hours of intense training my dad said I was ready.
"Ok so I want you to focus, remember this dragon determines your true magic"
"Ok I got this" I say to myself
I take a steady breath and chant a few words and push my arms I front of myself, and sure enough in my hand sat a small dragon but it wasn't like what my dad told me should happen it was ... Glowing
"No way, it can't be?!" Dad said in disbelief
" what? What is it?" I say worried as hell
" Lucy this is incredibly special, as you have clearly seen your dragon is glowing. And if you look you can see that it's two colours, now normally that isn't possible but I guess it is now. Lucy you are very special, more than myself and your mother thought, you Lucy are a duel Dragon Slayer. One of a kind" it takes a while for me to absorb the words, I just stare at the little creature in my hands and smile.

This is where I belong.

•~•1 hour later•~•
We step through the doors and we're welcomed by my mums cheerful hello
"How'd it go Luc-" she stops as she looks in my hands to see my dragon that I now named Nico.
"Isn't this amazing!!!" I cry in happiness.
"This is INCREDIBLE!!" Mum yells.
"What is going o- HOLY CRAP I TOTALLY CALLED IT YOU OWE ME!" Kara shouts as she approached us. She obviously saw my confused look
"Oh me mum and dad had a bet an-"
"I think I get it" I stop her and laugh
That night everything was perfect, tomorrow I get to test my real power. I can't wait.
