Chapter 9

*the same day*
*Zoe's Pov*
I got home at about 1pm, when I walked through the door I could smell paint
"Alfie what are you doing?" I asked walking up the stairs to find him
He came out of our bedroom
"Close your eyes and give me your hand, I want to show you something" Alfie said grabbing my arm
"Okay" I shut my eyes and followed him down the hallway
"Ok here we are Zoe, on the count of 3 open your eyes" "1...2...3" Alfie said
"OMG Alfie you....you decorated the baby bedroom.It looks amazing thankyou so much" I kissed Alfie then went in to look at the room properly
"It was nothing, I knew you would just want to see it and would be really impatient if you were here when I decorated it so Marcus helped me" Alfie said smiling
"It's all the furniture and colours we picked out I can't believe you remembered" I said, the room looked beautiful.
"I'm glad you like it, should we go downstairs and get lunch?" He asked
"Yeah" I hugged Alfie and went downstairs for lunch.

*a few months later and 4 months pregnant*
*Zoes Pov*
I was just over 4 months pregnant, I had been craving bananas and custard cream biscuits (which I normally didn't like). My bump was getting bigger especially in tight tops. It was about 4pm and Alfie and me were watching a movie and I was putting oil on my bump to prevent stretch marks when suddenly I felt something, "oh my belly" I looked down
"Alfie give me your hand quick" I gasped grabbing Alfie's hand and putting it on my stomach
"oh my gosh!, I felt her kick"Alfie looked at me with disbelief
"I know that was her first kick" i said
"Wow I can't believe how i was here for the first ever kick of our first baby" Alfie said
It was only a light kick like a fluttering but I still felt it and so did Alf. We'd had another scan that week and I'd started to fill up the scrapbook with bump updates and scan photos. I was also doing pregnancy updates on my YouTube channel.
