While they each were quite different, the fates in fact can be very cruel, and even the most powerful being can cower in fear at their presence.
The fates wove the destiny of the Divine, and testing each of them of their worth.
One day, a strange woman walked into the room where the Divine were taking council. The woman was very mysterious, and was cloaked in a black hood. Then, much to everyones surprise, she began to speak, in a cracked, hard voice, "Of you are two who are set apart from the rest, and now you will be put to the test, for one descendant of pure and evil, will be hunted by the Earths believers," with that she just stood there, at the Divine, all in terrible shock, but the cloaked woman was not yet finished, "for a single choice will break the curse, of sacrifice and the grip from the worst."
With that, the woman vanished into a cloud of smoke, and each of the Divine were speechless, in fear of what was yet to come.
