Second Giant War

The war had finally come to a close, Gaea defeated and all were safe once more. Those who had fallen were being mourned, their burials being prepared. Another war won by demigods forced to fight for the Gods who barely did anything to help. There were the who were spiteful (rightfully so), those who were just glad to be alive, those who were in too much pain to bear. Surviving when those they loved and cared about didn't make it. People were healing, both their physical and emotional wounds. Everyone could finally rest.

Percy's POV
2 weeks later - Olympus / Throne Room

A council meeting was being held to reward us. Most of us didn't even want to come. Us being the seven of the Prophecy by the way (Me and Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank and Leo). Jason was the first to be rewarded (son of the king of the gods has some perks you know).

Anyway, he (Jason) walked up to his Father (who was in his Greek form, Zeus) and bowed. "Jason Grace, Son of Jupiter" good ol' Uncle Zeus said in a booming voice, "you are offered the chance of godhood, do you accept this gift?". I could see Jason tense in shock, "Yes I accept Lord Zeus" (ahh ever the formalities of godhood being presented to you by your father). Zeus chanted in greek I Zeus, King of the Gods, turn Jason Grace, Son of Jupiter, into a god, may the fates arrive to call his place. Jason rose into the air (drama queen) and shone a bright gold, the fates arriving in a flash, the glow slowly faded and both the fates and Jason descended to the ground. "Breeze, God of Wind and Storms" crackled the fates in deep unison.

Piper was next, she approached her mother and was offered the same. She hesitated for a moment, her eyes flicking to Jason and deciding it was the right decision. Piper did not rise into the air, instead, she stayed on the ground as a soft pink mist collected around her. The fates voices' now soft and warm, "Eloquence, Goddess of Beauty and Grace".

Hazel and Frank both accepted, Hades allowed to grant godhood to his daughter. Hazel glittered pure gold as the fates voices rang out, somehow softer than with Piper, "Shimmer, Goddess of Precious Gems and Secrets". Frank stood before Ares, standing true and proud, no longer scared of death or of life. The fates voice turned raspy, "Shift, God of Battle and Shape-Shifting".

Leo stepped towards his father next, thanking him for the offer of godhood but refusing and instead, asking for his love Calypso to be brought to the mortal world so her could be with her. The Gods were surprised but honoured his wish and allowing Calypso to be set free.

Annabeth followed walking to her mother, a confidence in her step that she always carried. I saw as she set her shoulders back and I knew that she would happily decline the offer to be a god, just as she knew that I would. Instead, she accepted, my world stood still for a moment before I saw her grey eyes turn sharper as the fates gave her new title, "Archette, Goddess of Battle Strategy and Architecture".

As I stepped forward I knew that no matter how much I loved Annabeth, that I could not say yes. That even though I wouldn't be able to spend the rest of our lives together that the life that we would have would still be good and the best thing to ever happened to me. I could never be a god, the idea of living forever, or not being able to die. How would life ever be satisfying, there would never be any risk again and that was not a life I could live. Having to watch my friends die while I stay the same was a fate I could not accept. I walked towards my father and I knew that he knew what my decision was. He smiled at me knowingly pleading me to rethink, but my decision was final. My father voice boomed throughout the Throne Room, "Perseus Jackson we wish to offer not only godhood but a place as an Olympian, we are aware that you have once declined godhood and if that is the case again then you will be granted a wish of your choosing, anything that you want". I smiled up at my dad, "Thanks dad, I'm gonna have to say no the godhood, its an honour really to be offered this twice but I can't say yes". Uncle Zeus butted in, "Are you sure, Percy?". I looked him in the eye and nodded twice, clearing my throat, "I do have a wish though, I want both Hades and Hestia to regain their place on the Olympian's Council and all gods to be granted forgiveness and given cabins at the school so that their children may live in their true houses, that is if it is possible".
