Chapter Eleven: The Light in Her Eyes

Xavier's P.O.V
I watched as she walked into the house, Jasper close behind. What the hell was I going to do? My mate hates me as of now.
I look around and see Nic. He sees me and begins walking my way as I meet him half way, "Where is Riley?" He looked as lost as me, "Glad to see you alive, but Riley left the house about a week ago, no one has heard from him," I headed inside to my office, I called around neighboring alphas in search for him, they knew nothing but would keep the look out.
I look at the time and it said 8:30pm.
I sighed heavely as I headed up stairs for Jen, I found her sleeping with the boys. My natural born desire was to lay with her and so I did. It didn't take long for me to pass out.

I am walking around the house when I hear a movie or show in the den, I peak in and see Jen watching supernatural, course, her favorite. Her favorite episode will always be of Dean and pudding.
I couldn't help but laugh when I headed down stairs to the kitchen to make popcorn, little extra butter and bit of salt, nothing better.
I creeped into the room when Jennifer looked up at me, looking into her eyes, she lit up when she saw me, it warmed my heart.
As I sit down across from her, a thought came to mind and I smiled at her.
I grab a piece of popcorn, tossing it at her and playing cool, I'm good at that. I felt her eyes on me and I almost cracked, it was near impossible to not laugh. She looked away and I took the opportunity to throw two more, she gave me a look and I cracked, I smiled a little. It's hard not to when I see her beautiful face. She grabbed a piece and threw it at me and as a tease I ate it. You could see the slight frustration, the most gorgeous thing in the world.
Suddenly, popcorn went flying all over the room. Got her in the forehead a couple times, and she got me in the eye once. Finally I looked at her, she had the biggest smile, I spoke softly, "come here" her face got slightly red and she was just like a teenage girl, curling up under my arm, fitting perfectly. As we watched the the show all I wanted was to kiss my gorgeous girl, look down at her curled up figure, I was so inlove with this woman. I gently touched her cheek then grabbing her chin to see her gorgeous eyes, never seen anything so unique, I kissed her so softly, the tingles going all over me gave me the greatest joy. I want us to get away from all our problems, even for a little while, I want her happy.
As we broke apart, that thought began to plan in my head, " How about we go on an adventure. You, me and the kids," her face lit up like a Christmas tree. I picked her up and carried her to the bedroom, placing her gently on the bed, very hard not to get on top of her, but I move to the closet, she seamed like a blue today, as I'm grabbing a pair of her shorts I favor with dark blue undergarments and shirt. I hand her the clothes, " you take a shower and I'll get our day planned," she just had such a big smile rushing to the bathroom.
I head to my office and call Nic in. I'm sitting at my desk when he walked in, " What's up?" Not looking up much," Where is Jens favorite place, like outdoors," he sits down smiling, "looking to get a way," I gave him a look, "with the kids," he chuckled of course ,"Yellowstone," gave him a look, "the park?" He nodded and left. Camping it is. I called the local alpha gaining permission to enter grounds, made reservations, even asked a couple members to load the truck with camping gear and to attach Jens dads old trailer to her truck.
By the time Jennifer was ready with her and the boys, everything was done and paid for. I didn't bring buddy because he was very new to Jennifer and the boys, so I'm going to see how he does with Nic because of how well he is with the others.
As I packed the boys stuff for the trip I see Gabe talking to his new 'Friend' Delaney, very pretty girl, she's a good 5'5, very light brown hair and bright blue eyes, she's got a tiny nose, heart shaped face, good match for Gabe.
I 'clear' my throat getting his attention and he heads towards the truck, the two other boys short behind.
I watched Jennifer's gorgeous figure walking towards the truck, I could feel how happy she is just by looking at her, she was in heaven.
Everyone has gotten in the truck by now and we head off. I look in the rear view mirror at Gabe, "So Gabe," he definitely looked nervous, "Delaney huh?" I smirked at him, he got all red and brushy," I have no idea what your talking about," Jennifer and I chuckled, "Nothing at all?" Jen popped in and he stayed quiet, we gave eachother a look.
All the kids have fallen asleep half way through our drive. Jen was dozing on and off.
Drive went on for many hours. As we got close I woke everyone up, everyone looking around to see where we are and only Jennifer spoke quietly ,"Yellowstone.." I could tell she was beyond happy, her smile meant everything to me. I held her hand, she looked at me with her wide gorgeous eyes and squeezed as she smile.
As we pull up to our spot by a good size pond, the kids were gone as fast as they opened up the doors, Jen and I laughed.
When Jennifer and I hoped out we grabbed the tents and got to work.
Jennifer was clearly a natural with this stuff, she was having the first tent up no problem. Me on the other hand? I've already been wacked in the face twice by the poles and Jennifer is dieing of laughter. I have never really been camping, my dad never took me camping, I've never had that interest for it, so instructions are my bestfriend. After Jen finally stopped laughing, she helped me out. As we finish setting up, Caleb and Jasper come out of the trees terrified, loud snapping and hissing noises were heard Jennifer panicked "Caleb where's Gabe?" They ran behind me as they try to catch their breath, "V-v- vampires," I took off into the trees entering a clearing by the pond, Gabe was shifted and fighting off four vampires, two older vamps and two babies, could tell by the eyes, I charged in, haven't even needed to shift, taking out the young first by easily snapping their necks. The older ones took off at that. So I burned the bodies of the vamps. It's weird because I haven't heard of a vampire incident in a long time. We head back through the tree and I see Jennifer relax, she is so cute I swear.
The boys and I get changed into our swimsuits to head down to the pond, I wanted to keep a close eye on them to prevent anymore accidents. I hear a stick behind us, I look back to see Jennifer shortly behind in her sexy tribal bikini, her curves... memorizing.. how did a guy like me get graced with her, every bit of her is unique, from her eyes, to her lips, to her cheek bones, her hips. Her beyond gorgeous dark brown hair was braided back, have I ever mentioned how soft her hair is? The only time I'd ever enjoy playing with a girls hair is if it is as soft as hers. Think of silky soft hair, so thick and rich, just gorgeous.
By the time I escaped her spell, they were at the pond and I have a big smile on my face, continuing the way.
As I reach the pond, everyone's already in the water, I make a break for it and jump of the makeshift dock, cannon balling in the middle splashing everyone, as I pop my head out the water all I hear it "Hey!" From everyone, I couldn't help but laugh. After a while everyone got bored and hungry, Jen headed up early to start dinner. The boys play tag up the hill and I just smile.
A strange scent caught my nose. I sniff around to  investigate, but not really a creature just a scent so I continued on. As I reach the camping ground, the smell of food fills my nose, Jen was whipping out cheesy hot dogs and man did they smell good. Twelve hotdogs later, I was full, we all relaxed with some delicious smores, Jasper was struggling, it was adorable, most of the marshmallow was on his face, Jen was wiping it off with a wet cloth as quickly as it was coming back, I couldn't help but chuckle at that.
As night was getting heavy, everyone was getting tired, I grabbed the sleeping bags to roll out, Jen helped with the boys as I put ours together. Everyone began crawling into bed when I put the fire out enough it was small flame to give off heat then crawled in with my Jen. She curled into me perfectly, I kissed her head softly as I drifted into a peaceful slumber.
