**Four months later**

**Ash's POV**

"Cas?" I yelled through the apparent I'm renting.

"Yes Ash?" He said behind me.

"Where'd you go? I didn't hear you come in last night." I asked going to the fridge to get a beer.

"I was in heaven."

I froze. They always want him to do some weird thing. Just last week he had to go get this odd ingredient for something they were mixing up. Of course it only took him about thirty seconds to get it, but it was weird. Sometimes I feel like he doesn't want to do the things they tell him to do.

"And? What'd they want this time?" I asked.

I took a swig of my beer.

"They said it's time to gather and save Dean Winchester."

I dropped my beer.

"When?" I whispered.

"Today. I advise that you don't drink anymore." he moved his hand toward the broken glass and made it disappear.

"Thanks Cas. When uhh, when do you wanna go?" I asked.

"Michael said go three hours after I return." He said, walking over to the lazy-boy he always sits in.

Most nights I sleep on the couch, he stays there and watches over me.

"Why can't we just go now?"

"This is not to be rushed Ash."

"Well what are you going to do until then?"

"Sit here."

He is so....inhuman. It frustrates me, but sometimes it's funny. I rolled my eyes.

"Didn't you say that you have to gather? As in gather with other angels. When are you going to that?"

"In three hours."

"You're gathering at the site? Don't you have to prep or something?" I said sitting down on the couch.

"Ash, we are celestial beings. We already know how to do these things. Yes, it will take dozens of angels, but we will be fine. I assure you." He said, trying to convince me.

"What about Sam and Josh? You said I would get to see them when you get Dean."

"You humans and your questions," he mumbled the first part, "Of course you get to see them. I keep my promises."

"Someone's got there panties in a knot..."

I turned on the television and flipped to the news.

"More than twenty added to the missing persons list since Monday. Some have moved out for this area in order to feel more safe. For more information, stay tuned."

At first I just brushed it off, but then I got to realizing, demons and angels need vessels. This is more than likely my kinda thing.

"Cas, how many angels are helping you?" I asked, looking up from the TV to him.

"Twelve." he stated simply.

"You wouldn't happen to know how many demons are in the area?"

"No, why are you asking these questions?"

"I think all those missing people are vessels. I think it's because of us too."

"Why would it be because of us?"
