"Many years ago you were given the honor of being titled Paarthurnax's Vahlok, his guardian. But you have forsaken this duty to protect the vohkul (evil). And for that you have been reassigned. From this moment forth you will serve as Alduin's Vahlok until he has found his purpose in this world. Go now, and do not return to the monastery until your task is completed." He turned from her ascending the steps into the temple. She ran to catch him, hugging him tightly around the waist in a desperate show of affection.

"Master Arngier...father please! This is my home! I've never known any other!" For the first time since joining the order Arngier felt doubt. It was he who had accepted Sizaan as one of them, he who had taught her her first thu'um, he who was there to give her the title of Vahlok. He who had always seen her as his daughter and for the first time hearing her return the sentiment. And now it was he who would cast her out into the cold of a world he himself had turned his back on. But Arngeir would not waver for he knew it was time she learned of the world below.

"This is not your home and neither..." a breath to calm a wavering voice. "Neither am I your father. Was it not you who said one day you will have to leave and find your own way? I hope you understand that time has come. Go now, or face further consequence." He left her there, sobbing on the stone steps.

Alduin could smell the salt of her tears as they spilled down her cheeks. Such sorrow, dejection, and hoplessness. Feelings he knew well. He approached her slowly, kneeling to her level and reaching a hand towards her. He wanted to show some sign of sympathy but he was hesitant, unsure if she would even accept his comfort.

Sizaa turned to him and threw herself into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably. He was too stunned to move at first, unable to process she was so close to him. Slowly he regained his composure and wrapped his arms around her. He wished he had been stronger when the troll attacked so he could have protected her physically. And now he wished he could be wiser to offer some solution and protect her emotionally. This joor form was weak. And he loathed it. Part of him, the dark part he had been surpressing since his reawakening, loathed the fact he even cared about her pain. That part of him wanted to rip the very flesh from his bones until nothing human was left. But he realized he couldn't give in, not now that he had met her.

Sizaan could sense his stress and made every effort to pull herself together. She pulled away, him reluctantly letting her go.

"Dont be sad for me, my own choices and recklessness brought this upon me."

But Alduin wasn't sad. He was angry. Angry for her tears. Angry for her confusion. Angry anyone could so carelessly throw her aside like she meant nothing. Angry for the fact she felt she deserved this. It was the same anger he had felt when he learned of her birth parents leaving her as well. A tragedy she apparently hadn't suffered enough and was now echoing itself.

Alduin growled, his body tensing as his blood pulsed with rage. "They should all burn for how they have treated you!" Two days prior Sizaa would have been fearful but in that moment she had nothing left to feel.

"No, you will do them no harm, do you understand?" Dumbstruck Alduin could only nod, her unusual usual powers of calming taking effect over his mind. "Zu'u fent aam ahrk aak hi (I shall serve and guide you). It is my duty now." Sizaa lifted herself to her feet, starting to make her way down the mountain for the last time for a long time to come.
