'Cheer Up' and Window Shopping (cont.)

When the couple have finished their small meals and almost all of their coffee, they head out of the café and down the sidewalk, toward what the locals call 'The Antique District'.

It's a strip of pavement with small and personal little shops littering each side of the road that leads over a railroad and to the bigger side of town.

They both decided they'd pop in each of the shops and take a look at a little bit of everything.

Jeonghna didn't want to tell Mingyu he's been here a hundred times with his mother when he was a small child, before she shut herself in, away from the outside world.

They started on the right side of the road, coming to an antique theater.

When they walked in, they noticed that instead of the seats a usual theater has, each isle led to a little set up that explained a major motion picture that become popular in Korea.

They explored each isle, laughing and talking about each movie, some of which they both had never seen seeing as they were much older than the both of them.

When they got to the front of one row, Mingyu got Jeonghan's attention, pointing to the stage in front of them. Sitting on it were a ton of old props that came from the movies displayed in the isles.

Mingyu picked up a cowboy hat, sitting it atop his head. Jeonghan giggled before finding a nearby apron and tying it around his waist.

They were laughing, looking at the other props, and stopped to take a picture together, giving their brightest smiles.

When they were done, they set the props back on the stage and left the old theater, continuing on their quest to visit every shop.

The next shop they came to was an old lady's shop who hand made blankets and children's clothes. Jeonghan explored the little shop in awe. He couldn't wait to have his own children some day. Adopted, of course.

Jeonghan picked up what looked to be a throw blanket and brought it to the woman, asking her the price.

"Well, you seem like a nice young man. For you, 30 dollars."

"Oh, thank you." Jeonghan fished the money from his wallet before he felt a hand stop him. He looked up to Mingyu, the money in his hand.

"Here you go." He handed the money to the old woman who smiled at us before thanking us and handing me the quilt.

We walked out of the shop and I turned to stop Mingyu.

"What was that? I could've paid for it you know. I'm not a charity case." The disgruntled man huffed, slightly irritated.

Mingyu set a hand on Jeonghan's shoulder, seeming unfazed by his comment.

"I know you aren't, trust me. But I took you out today and I'd like to treat you. I know you can pay for your own things, you clearly work hard. I just don't want you to worry about anything today. Is that okay with you?" Jeonghan looked up and Mingyu was smiling at him. A wholesome, genuine smile that creeped up into his eyes.

"Yes, I'm sorry it's just I don't usually let people buy things for me. I'm used to supporting myself." Jeonghan played with his fingers, looking away.

"I know. Now come on, I wanna go check out the comic shop they have." He grabbed his elbow, dragging him off to the next shop which happened to be a comic and figurine shop. They looked around for a while and Jeonghan ended up buying a cute phone case while Mingyu left with two figurines of some anime he really likes. 'One Piece' or something stupid like that.
