Sinbad's P.O.V.

It was nighttime, and the streets were deserted, but that doesn't mean that it had gotten quieter. It was like what the people were doing in the daytime was trying to escape reality compared to the screams being made now.

I sat on the ledge of the window sill in the guest bedroom that was given to me, overlooking the city. Masrur stood by the door with his usual stoic look on his face.

Thinking about what had occurred earlier today, I felt my eyes sharpen as the screams of despair grew louder.

~FLASHBACK!~

The princess is...dead?

I was shocked. I recalled how in control the princess was. Even though I only saw her back, I could tell that the princess was a fighter. One that could overthrow Akita's King if she wanted to. She commanded the vizier like she was the Queen and presented herself with confidence.

I narrowed my eyes in thought. Did the Princess really commit suicide? I know it's not unlikely, but maybe... that isn't the case.

Wait, why do I feel sick to my stomach? This kind of  situation isn't unusual.

Pushing the thought aside, I gave King Khinzi a soft smile. "I'm terribly sorry for your loss, King Khinzi."

Releasing my hand, the King put his hand over his heart and made a bowing motion. "Thank you, King Sinbad."

The vizier, Aqil I think, bowed as well, but began shaking like a leaf. "I-I-I have made th-the ne-ss-ss-sary arrangem-m-m-ments. We will have you escorted to the pr- guest room!"

King Khinzi shot a look at his vizier then went back to his smiling self.

"King Sinbad, let us continue this another time."

I felt my eyes sharpen before closing them and giving the King another closed eye smile. "Yes. Lets."

~FLASHBACK! END~

"Sin."

Looking towards the door, I see Ja'far bowing his head.

"It appears we were correct. King Khinzi plotted princess Noor Kiano Akita's death."

I felt my brow furrow more and put my hand to my chin in thought. So that's solved. But what about her body? Did they burn it? I motioned for Ja'far to continue.

"Apparently, he hired a maid and a soldier to get close to her and gain her trust. This plan was well thought out and carried out for 10 years. However there has been no sign of them since the night of her death."

Ja'far raised his head a bit and looked me in the eyes. "Also, the vizier confessed. He was there the night the princess supposedly died."

That caught my attention, causing me to look at Ja'far in confusion. "Hmm? Supposedly?"

"Yes. According to the vizier, just as she was about to be beheaded by the soldier, there was a bright flash of light and then the princess was gone."

~Time Skip!~

~Somewhere Outside the Country of Magnostadt!

The moment I gained consciousness, I felt like my head was pounding. Like I was being hit repeatedly by multiple arms. Slowly, I opened my eyes to be met with a ceiling that was made out of fabric.
