*The Meeting*

Hey my name is Alexis Nicole Patterson. I'm a werewolf in the Shadow Wing pack. I'm the beta's daughter. I also have an older brother named Ryder. He is the soon-to-be-alpha's best friend. Also, my parents died in a rouge attack, but my brother still loves me. But, enough about me, ONTO THE STORY!

🌟Alexis POV🌟

So, today is my 16th birthday which means I'M GOING TO FIND MY MATE AND SHIFT! I'm really excited about it and I can't wait to find him so he could protect me from my bullies and love me forever. I heard a knock on my door and yelled,"Come in!" The door opened and in came my brother, Ryder.

"Hey Ryder" I said.
"Hey sis. Happy birthday" he said.
"Thank You" I said back to him.
"Well come downstairs to eat before you go to school" he said before leaving the room. I got up and went to take a shower. Once I finished I went downstairs and started eating breakfast with my brother.

"So, you excited to find your mate and shift today?" He said as he put a spoonful of cereal in his mouth.

"Yeah, I am, but I wonder what color my wolf would be?" I said back to him as I finished the rest of my cereal.

After I finished eating, I told Ryder I was leaving and that I'll see him at school. I went towards the backyard and got my penny board with white wheels. And was on my way to school. When I got to school and entered through the huge green doors, I was immediately welcomed with an amazing smell. It smelled like chocolate. I was excited to see if it was my mate, so I followed the smell. I didn't realize there was someone in front of me until I fell to the ground. I looked up to see who it was and saw the most beautiful hazel eyes I have ever seen. I looked at his face and realized it was one of my major bullies ever, the-soon-to-be-alpha of the pack, Felix.

He grabbed my hand harshly and lifted me up to my feet. I felt the amazing sparks and gasped. I then whispered,but loud enough for him to hear, "mate". His eyes widened and he shook his head franticly. He said "You, my mate? Please, you are never going to be my mate. You are just a fat, ugly, and a waste of air. The moon goddess made a mistake 'cause you would never be my Luna nor my mate". I noticed my eyes were starting to get watery. I tried blinking them away, but sadly that didn't work. I then heard him talk again. "I, Felix Ray Andrews, reject you, Alexis Nicole Patterson, as my mate and Luna of the Shadow Wing pack".

When I heard those words, I instantly felt my heart break into a million pieces. I couldn't resist the pain anymore. Before I could stop the words from coming out of my mouth, I said "I, Alexis Nicole Patterson, accept your rejection, Felix Ray Andrews"and with that said, I turned away and towards the woods.

I stopped running once I was sure I was far away from the school. I sat down next to a tree and started crying. In the middle of my breakdown I felt a sharp pain through my body. The elders said that if your mate rejects you before you shift, the pain is 10 times worse. I felt my bones cracking and I let out a loud, bloodcurdling scream that could probably be heard all the way to Alaska. After what felt like hours, I was standing on four paws and looked at my fur. I realized that I had a pure white wolf (the white wolf was very rare). "Hello, my name is Emerald". I heard a sweet voice in my head and I instantly knew it was my wolf talking to me "Hello Emerald" I said back to her. I shifted to my human form again.

We were talking about how our mate rejected us and we decided to leave the pack and start a new life. So, I shifted into my wolf and ran back home. I got some stares on the way and some gasps too. Soon I saw a faint building and ran even faster. Once I got home, I shifted into my human form again and began packing my clothes and some other stuff I would need. Let me tell you, I didn't have much things. Once I was done with that I started to write a letter for my brother and my so called 'mate'.
