Adams POV

I walk out of my studio after recording a "Who's your daddy" episode. Red and Max walk by having a casual conversation.

"I'm the sexier ginger." Max growls. He looks over and sees me smiling at him.

"Oh hey Adam. Uh- You didn't hear that!" He says. Red laughs at him.

"Yes he did." He teases. Max growls at him, then slaps him across the face. He was acting pretty awkward around me lately, but I don't know why.

I invite them both out for sushi, along with Tim and Barney.

Max's POV

*after sushi*

I walk into my room. The lights were dimmed and the curtains were closed, leaving little light in the room. I lock the door behind me. I walk over to a small desk, which was too small for a chair, causing me to sit on the ground.

I grab a small lighter and light two candles on each side of the desk. There was a picture frame that sat in the center of the back of the desk. I had three items on the front, placed very carefully. No, it wasn't a satanic shoring, but a Adam shrine. There was a picture of him in the frame. The items were personal to him. A half-eaten apple, his old earbuds, and, as creepy as it sounds, his old toothbrush.

Now you know why I locked the door.

"Adam~Senpai. Please notice me. Please, if there is any hope for me, ple-" I whisper to his picture. But there was a knock at the door, followed by Tim's voice.

"Max? You in there?" He says. I sigh, and take one last look of the picture.

"Yeah."

"I just wanted to let you know dinners ready."

"Oh, right. I'll be there soon." I yell through the door. I hear him walk away. I walk to the door, quickly opening, shutting, and locking it as I leave.

I walk to the table, looking at the steaming bowl of something.

"Soup?" I ask. Tim looks at me and chuckles.

"No, Mac and Cheese." He chuckles. I smile a bit. He made my favorite food.

I sit down at the table with him and begin eating. Tim finished before me, so he got up to put his bowl in the sink. He sat back down in his chair and tried having a casual conversation. After last night, I know it was hard for him.

I ate most of the Mac and Cheese, but then I heard some shuffling coming from my room.

"Uh, what was that? Should I go check-" Tim asked. I cut him off.

"N-no. I got it." I got up to go check, and I brought my bowl. I looked around the room, but no one was there. The window was closed, but there was a slight breeze. The same kind as before.

"Could that be- the ghost of- no. No, that's impossible." I thought.

Ring ring
My phone was going off. I went to see who it was. It was Adam. I panicked a little, looking at the picture of him. I picked it up and answered.

"H-hello?" I gulped. I didn't know why he was calling. He only does that if something important comes up. What could it be?

"Hey Max. Are you busy?"

"Nope. What's up?"

"Oh, I just wanted to see if I could come over. Hang out, maybe? I'm sorry, this is probably a bad time-"

"No! No, not at all. I mean- I would like that. I mean- uh-"

"Ok, haha. I'll be there in a minute."

He laughed, then hung up. I sighed, thinking about what we were going to do.

We were definitely not going in my room, though.
