CHAPTER 6: KLIO

Before writing this chapter, I have to engulf a lot of caffeine to stay awake. My Investigatory Project for Trigonometry will be presented tomorrow yet I still got nothing. So now I've decided. I'd rather write.

CHAPTER 6: KLIO

"Behind every evil hearts, are wounded souls"

I took us a month to track down the guy who cause a ruckus in the Diner, and I can say he's quite a mystery. Crest was able to pull something out, according to him the guy is Klio Clarke from a pack of dark werewolves. At the age of seven he was confined in a prison, until he shifted into a black wolf. He shifted every full moon, but was unable to feel the surge of the moonlight unlike normal werewolf. At the age of 17 he had his first prey under the moonlight, he was uncontrollable and savage. According to the Council's record, he is the most savage werewolf in the history.

"We need to find that guy" I said, frowning at his photo probably taken when he was 18, and according to his records he's 2 years younger that I am.

"How will you lure a wild dog?" Avery said, staring at her laptop.

"You make it hunt." Crest answered, napatingin kami sa kanya, kasalukuyan siyang nakatingin sa may bintana tila may ninamatyagan. "To tell you the truth that guy amuses me, akalain mong sinulong niya tayo sa kuta natin." Agad kaming napatayo ni Avery at napatingin sa bintana, we marked our territory so if case someone trespasses our house. Kaya pala hindi namin siya naramdaman ay dahil natayo siya sa mismong dead end ng boarder namin. 

He looked at the windows, almost glaring. Bigla siyang may kinuha sa bulsa niy at binato ito sa kinaroroonan namin, napaatras kami ni Avery dahil sa mismong kinaroroonan namin niya ito ibinato. The moment na nabasag ang salamin at nakapasok ang kung ano mang binato niya ay umalingasaw ang amoy ng dugo. Agad kong nilapitan ang kung anong ibinato ng lalaki at nakita ko ang batong may dugo, may natali roong sulat.

"You don't mess with me, and my prey." Ang nakalagay roon, the moment na nabasa namin iyon ay naramdaman namin ang pag-pasok niya sa teritoryo namin.

"Shit! Avery prepare the basement, Crest you're coming with me. Sasalubungin natin ang bisita." I commanded both of the, Crest and I proceeded down stairs, kasunod namin si Avery na lumiko patungo sa basement. Dahan-dahan kaming nag-lakad ni Crest, I can smell him all over the place.

"Focus your senses, mas matalas ang senses mo kaysa sa amin." Crest said habang pinapakiramdaman niya ang paligid. I relaxed my muscles and focused on my sense of smell. Hinanap ko ang pinakamalakas na amoy, I smelled a mix of rust, and blood na papalapit sa amin, I felt the wind changed its direction.

"CREST DUCK!" I said, mabuti na lamang at alisto si Crest kaya agad siyang nakayuko kaya tumilapon si Klio. Agad itong nakabawi at sinugod ako, he grabbed me on my shoulders and pushed me pero agad naman siyang hinila ni Crest palayo sa akin. I alerted my sense, at tinulungan si Crest na igapos si Klio. Malakas siya, sobra. He knows how to use his full force, he's more like an animal now that human, a predator who thirst for prey. He growled, loud. Mabuti na lamang at pina-sound proof namin ang bahay ni Crest. The basement was intended for Avery, dahil medyo nagkakaroon pa siya ng urge kapag full moon and we're trying to rehabilitate her sa basement. Its werewolf proof kaya pwede na roon ang isang ito. I helped Crest drag Klio down. Avery mind linked me na okay na daw ang basement kaya nagmadali na kami ni Crest.

Kasalukuyang nakikipagsukatan ng tingin si Klio sa amin, he tried holding the cell and I can say na matigas nga siya dahil hindi niya pinanasin ang pagkasunog ng kanyang kamay dahil sa silver. Napabuntong hininga ako, kung ano mang daan ang tinatahak namin ngayon I swear napakahirap nito. I slowly approached him, and he's growling almost roaring like a lion.

"Easy there boy." Sabi ko sa kanya sabay lapit pa. Crest mind linked me, warning me not to go further but I didn't flinched. Hinawakan ko ang nasusunog niyang kamay at dahan-dahang tinanggal iyon sa rehas. I may have a sturdy image but I can be soft, ispecially at times like this. "You don't have to hurt yourself anymore, we'll protect you." Hindi ko alam saan galling iyon, all I know is naamoy ko ang takot at tapang sa kanya. I touched his hands slowly.

"Ahhh!" I screamed ng hampasin niya ang aking kamay dahilan upang tumama ito sa silver na rehas. Avery and Crest growled but I stopped them. "it's okay." I mind linked them.

"A female Alpha? You've got to be kidding me." Sabi nito sabay ismid.

It took us long time to tame Klio, I remembered how Avery used to go out of the basement full of wounds trying to calm Klio. We tried sedating him but he's too strong, kaya wala kaming ibang choice but to treat him psychologically due to trauma. I tried looking for a werewolf psychologist, pero wala kaming nahanap. Until one day, bumisita sa amin si Cassandra yung babaeng muntik ng mapatay ni Klio sa Restaurant. She thanked us for helping her with the hospital bills, we were talking to her ng biglang magwala si Klio sa labas shouting the word Mate. And yes, Cassandra was his mate and to our surprise she's also on her final year in psychology. What ever happened 3 years ago made us all strong, Cassandra was the only mundane to know the truth about the werewolves and with her help ay naituwid namin si Klio. Though naroon pa rin ang trauma, nightmares at pagkabiolente niya minsan but we're hoping for the better and we know he'll be alright. After all he's Klio, and he's strong.
